    Emma, my 77 xs650

I just started my xs for the first time on friday and it felt great! The engine is punched out to 750 w/ a #1 Shell cam, 34mm Mik round slides, a Sparx alternator and a pamco ignition.

The frame has a 2" stretch w/ a 36* rake. Here's the start up vid:
This is the first start up of my xs650 hardtail since the rebuild

I need paint and powder (gloss black) and some new pipes and then she'll be done

    Just wanted to share!

Thanks guys! The bars and rear fender are from frontstreetcycle, the electronics bags were a random find at an army navy store - they're french sniper scope cases. the front end consists of set of old 34mm xs trees, dt250 fork legs and a 21" xt500 wheel

        and here's some more pics:

DT250 fork legs, cool, I might see if I can find a set of them.

I've had my eyes peeled for an XT500 front wheel and brake, the only one I saw at a swap was going for 500 bucks so no love!

Bike looks mean, bars are off the wall man, where'd they come from!

Thanks Jas, that the best complement I could get

                        Viz, I'm sure you'll be thrilled with Craig's work - I know I was.

Philbey, 500 bones for an xt wheel? Shit, I guess I got lucky. Pretty much all the 70's xt, tt, dt yamis will have a 21" drum wheel. The bars came from Front Street Cycles - They're Craig's race bars modified a little bit - we dubbed 'em mustache bars. Then I bent them a little more to get some extra pullback (went from about 2" to 6").

Danny, the headlight bucket is a NOS 105mm Cev bucket - they're from Italian scooters and HD Aermacchis. I added a visored bezel made for that size bucket, a tractor headlight bulb, and a push button for the high beam. The speedo hole will take any of the common mini-speedos made by Drag Specialties or Custom Chrome, so I tossed one of those in.

                        Thanks again for the feedback!

thats a great looking bike: skip the paint and powder, the look it has now makes it look like you dug it out of an antique shop

I got the stator cover from mikesxs - he sells plain ones. On the right case, I belt sanded the yami off. That there is a thick cover that doesn't mind losing a couple millimeters of metal.
