    Master Cylinder options (Panhead)

    Looking for suggestions please...
I’m converting my Panhead from rear drum mechanical brake to a disc PM brake.

I don’t like the look of the master cylinder up at my foot control. Any ideas of how to hide a small one somewhere else on the frame?

I’ll attach a pic of my bike so you can see where my pipes are.

Use the stock mechanical front linkage and crossover.
Mount a master cylinder on the left side.
    Inside the primary maybe?
Use the stock tool box mounts?
Hide it inside a tool box ?

use one with a remote reservoir, easy to hide... a universal one or like this one that fits a zx6:

That sounds interesting! Have you ever seen anything like that? I scoured the Internet for images and ideas and haven’t come up with much

You will have to make it up yourself........ That's why they call it custom.....

It's kinda hard to see but here is one like the top one mounted inside the frame rail with the reservoir bolted to the back of the primary on my 50 Scout. It is operated by a cross shaft.

              It hides pretty gooder.

This 5/8″ bore master cylinder is designed to be hidden on the bike, and actuated by a cable. The kit is ready to be welded to your frame, and includes a master cylinder, 10mm banjo bolt (same as late model HD), linkage system, and a Barnett Cable Clamp so you can use any cable system you want.

Wow! That’s insane. Nice job. The linkage must have been quite a project

Very cool, thanks. It’s a little hard to see how the linkage works though. I guess that’s where I’m stuck

You could mount it to the tranny using a plate off the kicker cover or a plate to the frame.I found some pics online from this thread on JJ

I’m definitely going with your suggestion. My friend has a Jesse James build that used it up at the foot controls and I want to copy it. (I attached a pic) Any idea what brand Cylinder is the best quality? Thanks again!

As good as I could get without putting it up on the lift. Had a honda master on it for a few years when it went bad I picked this Chinesey copy off Fleabay and it seems fine.
