my $279 car

Picked this 81 Celica up two weeks ago for $279. It sat for ten years and the guy thought it was a lost cause. I drove it home, he was pretty shocked. Cool little beater for gas mileage. Way cooler than a Scion or a Kia

Lucky bastard. I've been wanting one of those for years. Built back when Toyota built cars, not appliances. 22R, rear wheel drive, bulletproof as long as you don't let it overheat. Excellent deal.

Nice score, here is my $300 '75. Mine was missing the drivetrain though. Definately waaay cooler than a modern econobox too.

I wish I could find an older one like that, they have a lot more style than my 81. Cool car man
