paintjob suggestions

I'm about to get my hardatil Sportster painted and could really need some input regarding the paintjob... Planning to have the wheels painted black and get those vintage style Firestone tires. the frame remains black and some low handlebars is also in the plan... A pair of clip-ons anyone? Considering a red matte, metallic at he moment.

I like it raw as she stands - but how about taking off from your pillion? Mid-range charcoal metalflake - not too dark not too light - with some silver/stainless steel pearl-esque striping and/or faded panels set into the charcoal?
My $.02.

I've had it like this for 2 years now and I really like it the way it is! But gettin a new paint is at the same time a way for me to get the bike freshened up a bit. And easier to sell here in Sweden this summer...

The bike has nice lines. If you are just painting it to sell, go for mass appeal. Everyone seems to be into candies and heavy flakes....60's design acid art. Seems to get the attention here in the states. Hard to know about your market though.

my last 2 bikes I have painted I used the Hot rod Flatz from the Kustom Shop. I used one flat red pearl and my latest bike is gonna be olive brown drab flat. Add in some old school pinstripes and neat-O! Flake is cool as well like the other post said and it is all the rage now.

I like the red metal flake idea with some cool lines. I don't know about you guys , but I am really digging that sportster in the photodump section with an orange metal flake tank. It's the 3rd and 4th pic from the top. Something like that would be rad and maybe even leave the fender raw. Or maybe a cool brat style paint job. Something simple, like an easy spray paint job. Somehow they always make that look so damn cool. Your bike is sick by the way. Love the bars and the avons. Don't think I would change em up.

Well I'm partial to rainbows and unicorns myself.

But seriously it's your ride and you gotta go with what gets you stoked.

Personally I like simple and classy. A real deep red metalflake would def be cool.

How much do you count on that a hardtail sportster would go for in sweden? I mean a stock one ~2000 goes for 60k SEK?
