Hey dudes,

I can make the seats to fit stock fenders, but to make one that fits over the ecm hole, I'd need the actual fender. I don't have one and can't remember what's involved with it regarding the seat. But if its stock 04-06 or the super new stuff where the ECM isn't on the fender anymore, sure i can handle it.

P.s. I don't plan on going into production mode. I like making things to each clients designs. Makes everything that much more special.

That seat is killer. Would love to see something like that extended back for 2 up riding.

Nice Rene. I don't recall having seen one of your seats finished out before. It looks great!

Hey, would you make a raw pan just like that one to fit on my 05 XL, with a stock Nighster fender on it? I can PM you.

As for the ECM fender bucket, I don't know if it's really an issue. The fender that I'm running on my 05 Roadster is from an 07 Nightster and after I repainted it I just stuck the ECM plastic bucket down on the fender with some double sided tape and the stock Roadster 05 seat mounts right over it without a problem. Mounting holes lined right up and everything.

Have you encountered problems with this before?

I made one solo seat a while back and it went on a nightster with stock fender. Don't think there were any issues with the ecm hole.

I can make just the pan, but I can't promise anything on the fit and finish. Your buying a raw and unfinished part. If I finish it, it'll fit right and look good or else I won't ship it till your satisfied.

Café/tracker/drag bike!

I really don't know what it classifies as, but it looks good! I just finished the seat and cowl for it. I finished the tank for it a while back (super low tank) along with the stainless clip-on bars.

This cowl is ready for paint! It's headed to Josh at Old School Helmets! The cowl features an aftermarket ignition case, a cigarette lighter (12v outlet in case you need to charge your phone out in the Norway mountains) and a stash tube for some cigs and papers.

I made the seat pan to bolt onto the stock frame and the cowl using some trick thumb screws. The pan is powdercoated and its wrapped in leather with a traditional vertical pleat design.

Enough chit chat, check out the pics!

Here's a pic of the tank. I don't have it anymore otherwise I would've taken pics of all the parts together...

I can't wait to see this bike all done! Still have some more parts to build... Slimmer oil tank and stainless exhaust!

That cowl is awesome! Something like that would look awesome on flat track styled sporty! Beautiful work!

paint!!!

Just finished up the fender to the seat that I posted earlier. It got a nice shiny coat of BLACK. I can't wait to see this on the owner's bike! Not sure if you can tell but it has 3 ribs, 1 being a passage for the brake light wiring to pass through. Super clean and classy.

That fender is very well conceived and executed...

I dig the wires in the rib, and the light setup. Tight!

Im not on this board to often because of a hectic life and going highway-speed all the time.. kids, work, projects bla bla bla,..
But i think its about time i give you some cred Rene..

I think i just stumbled over your work on here Rene, and then i made contact through a pm or email...but i didnt know who your where, or if i could trust you. Its always a litle bit of gambling when you are in another part of the world and dont have to met people in person.
Even though im in freezing Norway, and Rene is in the superhot dessert in south California...comunication has never been a problem, this guy replies faster than my wife (even if she's in the same room as me..haha), and he always listen to me as a customer. He has great ideas all over and know how to put them into life.

Rene, you are a rare find! I have been into wrenching and building on both cars and bikes since i was a teenager, but never met anyone that has this level of great service!

Now im really lookin forward to see what Josh can do with the tins
Then i hope we can proceed on the next planned parts Rene... this bike will for sure NOT be an average sportster....

Marius! Thanks for the comment! Man, I'm super excited about this bike. I saw the idea you gave Josh (O.S.H.). Man, its gonna look goooood! I really want to finish this bike off. So many cool ideas and parts on this one.

For those of you not following along, his bike is the cafe tracker drag bike. Custom tank, cowl with dash board, leather seat, stainless clip-ons... Soooo nice!

(Clip-ons not shown)

Rene!

Exhaust and oil tank next!

Exhaust!

I built this exhaust a while back. Nice and simple. The hardest part was building an exhaust without the actual bike. I used a mock up stock sporty. (swing arm) knowing it was going on a rigid. I didn't wanna build a "generic" style exhaust where it sits off the motor by like a foot to make sure it clears everything... So I asked for a bunch of details and basically built the bike in my head and built it so the exhaust looks and fits like I had the actual bike. I can honestly say it looks 1000 times better on the clients bike then it did on the mock up... Haha. That's what counts though!

The bike is still in mock up stage but I couldn't wait to share.

Hey guys, I'm the lucky recipient of this seat/fender combo! Rene's work is awesome and his attention to detail is borderline OCD...haha During the fabrication of said combo, I received updates and pics constantly!!! It seriously came out better than I could have ever imagined.... I mounted the combo today, and it fits trump tight!!!! Pics soon to come... you know I gotta get a MM tank first!! Thanks Rene, you got a customer for life!!!

Not yet. I haven't had an order for them. I don't have any free time to build a set unless they're ordered.
