I run a 17 on my Harman and love it. Its nice to see more people breaking away from the 21-23" wheels.

Here is an updated picture of mine.... wanted more ground clearance so I mated up some xl250 fork legs to cb550 triple trees. Still working on the high- low exhaust and mounting the headlight.

Well it's not a cb it's a cl350. Close enough? Almost done. Heat shielding has been removed, looks better now. More pics when she's done.

Built a new exhaust, that's about as far as I've gotten. I'm collecting parts right now. Fender, seat, shocks (keeping it swingarm), other random shit.

I just picked this little cb up day before yesterday.

Clean bike, definitely needs some tranny and engine work, just a basic overhaul, new brakes. But a good runner when it's warmed up.

Still a few more things to do. Chopping up my front fender to go on the back today with my new taillight. Mini speedo, seat, etc... left to do.

cb550 rat bike

Here is my 1978 cb550k. Nothing special, just a fun rat bar hopper. It is light, skinny, and loud as hell. I love it. Thought that i would share with my fellow chop cult members.

How is the front wheel rubbing up against the lower triople tree?

That's just an odd angle. The tire will hit the headlight before the tree, but it hasn't smacked it yet in a couple hundred miles I've put on it.
