sportster intake manifold

can any year evo sportster use the same intake manifolds. looking to put a carb on my 07 and i know an 04-06 will fit but what about the older years. some people on ebay list 86-up. some people list 03-06. i would prefer to get one without the map sensor bung if i could because im just going to weld it up.

The FI heads are machined a little different than o6 heads and that makes the gap a hair wider. You can use a stock manifold but it is not a clean fit and you might struggle with getting the intake to seal up well. I have a turbo on mine and that poor fit was not going to cut it so I took a larger S&S manifold and sanded it to fit.

an 04-06 fits. my other post was wrong. you have to use the flanges from the throttle body though and it works great
