New headlight

So...i needed a better headlight than what i had. i hated the stock one, and wanted to use "stock" mounting options (bolts, holes etc).

i had saltytonk make me up a headlight bracket for these originally, but they just werent enough to get by.

i went on another forum for off road bikes, and got in touch with a guy who sells LED aux lights in various powers. i settled on the model 60, being the most hardcore they had, and when it came in a got back in touch with salty to make me another mounting option. this time, we just reused the visor and made a mounting plate for the switch and a bezel for the headlight bracket.

the switch that i got has different bright modes, as well as 8 strobe patters, all of which you can very the speed of. and yes, i tested it out and 4 cars pulled over....

so without further ado.....pics:

I dig it, but I think it would look better with another, similar to your previous set up. I also think the eyebrow is too huge to hold that up, maybe shave it down?

Yeah but that stuff gets all convoluted. A 100 watt house light bulb won't let you see very far.

I agree on the double stack like the old setup.

i can also say that during the day, it still lights up street signs....so yeah

There is no better description than a video! You have the voice of an angel.

The fact that you run it at what looks like 1/2 brightness shows how bright it is. If you ran two of them you would blind everyone in the county.

I may have to get one of these little dudes.

3600 lumens? Holy smokes! I converted my SureFire flashlights over to the CREE LED heads because they are so much brighter. I have one that puts out somewhere around 400 lumens and when you shine it in someone's face they get all disoriented and stumble into a wall or fall down. I can't imagine how bright this thing is. Could really be dangerous dude, be careful.

you have to aim these really carefully. the guy that makes em has bar clamps and im thiking about doing one beside each grip, a spot on one side and the flood on the other.

in a side note, a little birdie told me that this is similar tech to the police copters night suns....

I was thinking that it would be bitchin to mount a pair of these on the roof rack on my Dad's Polaris Ranger. Light up the night for some off road action.

That is a bad ass little light. A mini cafe fairing with the light in the center would be sick as hell on your bike

AWESOME!
Be careful with that thing.
When you were strobing , I'm sure your neighbors were looking to see whose house is getting raided.
Awesome.

Apparently you can buy red or blue lenses to put in them as well, in case you wanted to impersonate a police officer...oh wait, you already have, ne'ermind.

That light is pretty trick!
I have to admit tho it does have alot of space in and around it now. If ya had some kinda nacelle to close up around it . that would be cool. Or like you said a number plate.
