So is everyone else brotha. Best bet, check the classifieds a few times a day, might get lucky. There was an Eat Dust there that was a pretty good price considering the item.

I got the vest today. It's pretty cool. I can't get behind the little rivots, but the buffalo buttons kinda make me smile. I'll roll with them. I am, however, considering taking a drill to the other little rivots. kinda looks like a bedazzler exploded. for the price, it's an alright vest.

Anyone else weirded out by the fact that gen2 is wider than tall? Since I'm not short and beer gutted, (6ft and lean 180lbs) wondering if it will fit right or feel goofy?

Well I finally bit the bullet and ordered one. Ended up going with a Medium, it should fit... comparing measurements to my current textile vest.

I'll report back once I get it.

I've got the gen one in xxl and it fits great, looks like the gen 2 is 5 inches shorter in xxl? that would put it above my belly button. I'm 6'2 and 215 with a normal torso i think? dunno never ben asked to join a circus or anything

love those guys but the fit on gen 2 is royally fucked up

ps this is THE funniest thread on the internet, some of you guys are funny motherfuvkers

Well, got my parcel today!

I dont know if I'm more stoked on the vest or this knarly comb they through in!

HaHa, I'm gonna have to slick my hair now, just so I can keep it in my back pocket!

The vest itself is great, seems like its good quality denim, it's a little stiff but will soften up with some miles.

It actually fits really well, I'm 5'9" 165lbs and usually wear a medium, so I ordered the medium in the vest. I'm glad I didn't get the large, it would have been way too loose, especially just over a t-shirt. As for the length, I definitely wouldn't complain if it was an inch longer, but it's no deal breaker by any means. It's actually longer than the textile vest that I was currently wearing. It pretty much comes down just past my belt on my jeans.

I actually think this may have been designed this way for a reason, if you look at most riding jackets there short in the front so they dont bunch up when your sitting on the bike.

For anyone wondering, unless you have a freakishly long torso don't fret over the length, pictures for proof:

Just need to sew on some patches and it'll be good to go!

Errrrghh.. I thought it was acceptable as long as I bought it with no collar? It's a whole different story and level of badassness if I had actually cut off the sleeves and collar?

OMG what have I done!!!

I'm in the same boat... 6'2" and a lean 190lbs. I have a large Gen 2 and it's even loose over a hoody. My buddy asked why I bought a vest for a "short fat man."
Guess they need to start making "American" and "European" fits.

Biltwell needs to take this opportunity to make something that obviously a lot of people are after, a longer fitting vest. theres no reason they can't be a but longer. i like longer hoodies shirts etc to cover my whale tail. shape it so its shorter in the front or you can always just undo last button. death to short and fat long live long and lean.

Problem is they put a big brown patch right where the Junkpiler patch belongs!

So get a seam ripper ($0.98 at Walmart) rip out off the Biltwell one, sew on the Junkpiler one and then sew the Bitlwell one back on somewhere else. No problem.

Vest Sizing

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in on vest sizing. The reason the vests are a bit shorter than what some people consider a standard "fit" is becasuse when you ride with the vest, the longer it is the more it bunches up on you when you ride. Lots of people have also asked us to make the vest shorter as well. I personally had my vest tailored to be 2" shorter and love the shorter fit.

Denim fit, whether it be pants or vests, will always be up to the end user's personal preference. If the stock version of what we make is not up to your standards and you don't feel like getting it altered to the perfect size, we have a very liberal return or exchange policy to accomodate anyone that wants to send the unworn vest back.

That one's not ours Pete. Like Mike said, traditional vests are not the same length as an untucked XL t-shirt.
