I just want to drop by and say what we all already know. Biltwell is a fantastic company. Their products and customer service are second to none. I just got back from 5000 mile trip from Chicago to LA and back, me and my bandmate. No saddle bags or windshields, just rucksacks strapped to sissy bars and Biltwell Hustlers and bubble shields. They worked amazingly well.
We had problems with the snaps on both pieces and when I emailed Biltwell about when we got back, they immediately had me send them pictures and asked if I wanted a replacement. Might not seem like much, but it seems like most companies have shitty customer service. Biltwell rules it, fuck yeah!

+1 on the rubbermount Sporty seat, although I still believe that the lack of availability of said seat is proof that Biltwell is secretly encouraging me from afar to get my 95 XL project on the road. That way, I can just buy one of the current stock of bananas.

Rubbermount Sporty seat and Dyna seat are in the works. We'll let you know as soon as they are ready to ship.
In the meantime, here's a look at the new DOT-approved open face helmet which will be replacing the Hustler. It's called the el Fuerte and it's quite a bit smaller and available in a couple new colors and trim options. In stock and ready to go here: http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php...duct_list&c=32
And here's a compilation of "in context" photos which the other guys won't show you. Sizes range from XS to XXL.

Awesome. I bought a Hustler and at 6'1 155 I looked absolutely retarded in it. It didn't help that it was too small. It got sent back and I'm still rocking a novelty lid.

For many years, those of us who suffer the egregious pain of "Excessively Large Melon Disorder" have lamented the fact that Biltwell helmets just don't fit us. We are forced to wear Daytona helmets and look like a golden Sputnik charging down the road all the while watching our more small statured and stylish friends basking in the glittery glory of the nov. lid.
Today, a new day has dawned and the trumpets have sounded to usher in a new era. The Biltwell 2XL lid has finally arrived and the wearers of size 8 hats need no longer be ashamed, for we are FREEEEEEEE!
Hope you liked that, Bill. Can I get a free Fuerte for product testing? I promise to wear it to the Austin EDR party and be photographed with it, attempting to look cool. Preferably wine red mega flake but I'm not choosey, any color will do. I'll even cover the shipping. Thx bro.
Nose, big domes require big helmets! I'm surprised you can't fit in the novelties. I've had friends with size 8 heads squeeze into 'em before. Once the padding breaks in, it seems to work with almost any giant grape. Anyway, now there is a double-ex for ya.
Minimal, these are a lower profile helmet than the Hustler and have less "cheek pinch" meaning the bottom/sides don't curve in so much. We shot them like mug shots and being ridden to try and give you as much of a real-world view of them as possible. On some people you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between one of these and our novelty lids. On others, it's obvious but not retarded. Head shape has a lot to do with how helmets look when worn. The sizing is different than the Hustler for sure, so please check the chart above.

Yeah, my head is not only enormous but kinda funny shaped as well. It's really long from top to bottom so it's hard to find a helmet that fits me and doesn't stop at my upper lip, haha. I've tried 2 of the novelties in the past (1 being the traveling lid) and couldn't wear them for long before I got a massive headache. Perhaps El Fuerte will be the ticket; hope so.

Carrie sent me the email this morning and I just placed my order! Hope I measured correctly. Thanks Bill, stoked to get my new lid. I'll keep an eye out for that rubber mount sporty seat.

Will the full face have the chrome around the bottom and around the cut-out / viewport? I see the El Fuerte prototype didn't have it and the Gringo prototype doesn't either, so here's hoping the final version does. It really makes a big difference in appearance.

Am I reading that right on the sizing? Where I wear a Medium in the Hustler, I'd need a Large or possibly XL in the El Fuerte? And on the XXL end, the measurements show smaller than XL of the Hustler. So did the sizing not really add bigger sized helmets? Just curious.
