Bacon Run 2 - Sequoia - July 20-22, 2012

Bacon Run 2 - Sequoia - July 20-22, 2012
THERE WILL BE BACON.
Disclaimer: This is not an organized event, put together by unorganized individuals.

It's an idea based off of the awesomely randomness of the motorcycle community. Yes, we love bacon, you are not required to love bacon, don't even expect bacon (But there will be bacon). We are just hoping to get like minded individuals out for a good ride and a new experience. We don't even require NakedRob to be naked (I know he will be). We setup the ride & the destination. You can meet us for the ride, join us at the campsite or just stop by on your way through anyone is welcome. We won't all be sitting around the fire singing kumbaya (No Promises on that). Other than the destination there are no plans. Enjoy the camp sites, the local pubs, party your ass off, enjoy the roads, and the scenery is amazing (lots of places to check out). Just like any other time you're on a bike, you're responsible for yourself and how you spend your time.

One request. A few of our names are on the campsites. Please be respectful enough that we don't loose our chance to ever camp again. There are strict fire rules and most likely there will be some freaked out families near by. DON'T BE A DOUCHE.

Dude. This is THE run of the summer. I hope everyone commits to what's sure to be the raddest forest adventure ever since 'The Blair Witch Project'.

I hope we find some haunted shacks!

I'll take one of the spots. Tell me where to send my camping money...

Brandon, why not bring an old bike? I will be... Granted, mines only 40 years old but still...

@sharky Depending on how things go I may be running chase. If Straitjacket Sally is going to go I don't wanna drag her broke ass all the way up on a pinion (may need major hip reconstruction). We'd be rolling an old beat up 4Runner with a tow hitch (trailer rents 1 way in Ridgecrest if needed) no kid so there would be room for 2 POS malfunctions and their riders, some tools and spare gas plus what ever else can be crammed in the back or on the top in the safari rack with the BIGASS cooler. (or not if we pull the top and doors off). I will get a definitive answer ASAP, my sis will be down around the same time so my son's gonna be in good hands if she goes. As for now assume its just me and my bike no +1 if it changes I will say something. If you want I'll just spring for your grub at point 1 and we can call it even including a beverage of your choice, I may not be rich but I'm not a cheapskate.

BACON BOOZE AND BEARS OH MY!

I will continue to edit the 1st post with Confirmed people. If you don't see you're name I unintentionally missed something.

I got the 1st 2 sites. I'd be amped if someone else stepped up and wanted to book another 1 or 2 sites in their name and I'll add it to the list. Total Fees/Site: $27 (This includes 6 people & 2 bikes. Each additional 2 bikes is $5) So It should be $6.17 a person. I'm not demanding money for the 1st 2 sites, but if you want to hand me a couple bucks on the ride I'd be thankful.

Not sure which "Joe" I was talking to at the District Lounge after Born Free but we were talking about this stop off you guys should check coming out of the sequoias, about 15 to 20 mi east of Springerville. It's called "Coffee camp" upper parking. there is an upper and a lower parking but you should go to the upper and it is right on the Tule River, natural water falls, water slides, killer place to take a dip and camp.

google it

Update:
When I booked the 1st 2 sites. There were still 15 spots available. I just looked and there were 3 left. To try to save any pouty faces and make sure anyone that wants to come can make it. I got 2 more spots. Max reservations they allow is 4. If someone want to grab the last one just to be safe, that would be super awesome. We can always cancel the reservation a few days before if it's not needed.

Thanks to jluck for site 012!

Its a negative on the chase, be rolling the green rat bastard Y2K fxdx, and I'm totally cool with going over the 74 for some breakfast before going back over the 74 to head up to 395. Unless there is going to be a large number of us at the Cheveron next to the 74 & 15 I'll meet at Hennessys, I forgot to save a piece of bacon for my Bloody Mary last time and I've been told that makes an already outstanding bloody mary even better.
