Absolutely. You may have to make minor jetting mods, but it's the same carburetor.

Curious as to what was wrong with your old one? Carb troubles like actually broken beyond repair or not running right?

Ive been fighting with my carb for 2 seasons and it just kept geting worse it would dump fuel when I would shut the bike down and every once and a while as I was riding and last ride out the bike cought fire replaced every part The local harley shop said to and it just wouldnt fix the problem so decided to order a all new one but the only one I could find was for the 99-06 models

Dump fuel out of the overflow? Did you turn the petcock off? Sometimes the bowls get stuck and overflow if you leave the petcock on. Mine does it periodically if I leave it on for periods of time. With this new one, keep the petcock off. If your float bowl gets stuck, you can tap the bottom with a rubber mallet and/or rock the bike side to side to free it. A lot of times its not stuck solid, just gets a little stuck and will be fine with a little love tap.

Hard to believe a new needle and seat would'nt fix that. And of course having the float adjusted properly.

Thats great news. Maintain this new carb and you should be good to go for many, many, many miles.
