Was going to do sharpie art on my white full face, but decided to paint it instead. So this is what I came up with yesterday. Used minimal shit, everything I had on hand here and could do a WAY better job if I had taken my time not rushing through while trying to watch the 3 babies by myself and using some proper materials, BUT I had a lot of fun doing it and looks way better than a plain white helmet now.
Materials Used:
400 grit sandpaper
Testors Model paint (rattle can);
Silver - Base
Red Candy / Blue Candy (says transparent on the labels, same as candy)
Craft store glitter spray paint (didn't work. was too runny, actually ran off of the helmet it was so thin)
Kustom Shop gold flake
Dupont Chromabase Clear
Cheap gravity feed paint gun from Norther Tool. Used the one with the biggest possible tip for the flake.
3M Fine Line tape in 1/8th and 1/16th
Scotch green autobody tape
Windex wipes (for pre-paint cleaning prep)
Sunday Paper (Richmond Times Dispatch) was the biggest one I could find.
Dupont acrylic clear A-7480S (Acrylic Trim and Jam Clear)
Razor Blade (couldn't find my xacto knife)
1 YD Pink Flowery Lace (only used a tiny bit, but wanted more for future projects)
1/2 YD Micro Fishnet (for the snakeskin)
Maxwell House coffee (I prefer Folgers, wife likes Maxwell House)
2 packs of Camel Filters. *WARNING* Don't smoke Camels while spraying candy paints, you'll get a monster buzz but the headache afterwards is a bitch
