So I think I wanna make my 95' Sporty into one of those crazy orange inspired type builds. Im very curious if someone can give some tips, tricks, or 2-cents as to where to start and any inspirational notes.

Tank, handlebars, fender, seat, tires, suspension, chain drive and exhaust are the key components. Do you want it to look like it came straight outta Japan or something mostly thrown together? It's all about what you put into it.
Can you fabricate? If no, I build all those parts except the suspension, chain drive and tires. But those are pretty straight forward.

Pick some of your favorite bikes and take the parts you like most of each and try to build your version of it. You gotta get the pics burned into your head because some of these parts are not easy to make.
On my bike, I started on the suspension. Went with a nice drop. After that, its pretty much random order. Whatever you think you can handle, go for it! The tank and fender, in my opinion, are the most critical parts. Get those right, and the rest of the bike pretty much follows.
You can see most of my work here on chop cult in the chop market forum under MercuryMoto. I've built all the parts I listed as fab parts. So its all there. Good luck.

Rene is the fucking MASTER of that style...
He did up my tank, and will be doing some more stuff once I have the funds available. He's great to work with and keeps you updated along the way.
Here's the tank he did for me. I've gotta take some new pics, I've since added another headlight on top and some tank badges. The tank is going to get painted next winter.

I'm a big fan of crazy orange. My bike is inspired by them. My bars and seat are Mercurymoto and I'm waiting for a tank and exhaust from him. I think the most common orange style is the vintage. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

WEll... cant find a fender to save my life. Im not cheap, just not stupid either. LOL also, I have TONS of tanks. (I paint, ALOT) but I cant find either a kit to lift the tank, or the parts to make it a rubber mount... Im a little lost...
Lowbrow also has rubber grommets , weld in bungs. weld on tabs and everything else you need......that is if you dont have Rene fab you a tank. Which I highly reccomend.
Fenders are all over the place . Lowbrow has fenders too. Keep in mind to get the look you are looking for is gonna require some fab work. You cant just bolt on parts and come up with what you want.
They are out of stock but Dennis Kirk, J&P Jireh ....etc.... everybody stocks those fenders.
I used a stock fender and cut it down on my build . Then I welded a piece of 3/16" rod on the lip, filled it in with bondo, smoothed it and painted it.
