Whoa yea you'd have it easier than I did.. (Texas and it was in July)
Yea I can sympathize this is year... 3.. going on 4.. man i forget.. I had a year and a half break in there just .. out of frustration. But ya know lots of guys have gone 80 over and been fine I think it's just the Brits that say don't go past 60 and the American's all scoff and go 80 but that's the absolute limit , and if your already paying for a hone I'm assuming it wouldn't be much more to have a single bore on ea cyl so that cost should be close to what your already in, so mainly just looking at pistons and rings, and every British shop owner I've talked to says that Emgo while they have a bad rap for parts quality that their pistons are just fine just dont use their rings spend a few extra bucks for better rings, and you can get those for .. under a hundred most of the time.

In the end just going with a bore cost me a whole lot of time and ALOT of extra money. If you can go 80 over and get pistons for it .. id say do it nothing sucks more than getting bike together and taking it on a test run to have cylinder problems.

cheers

Aye , I had the same idea, get a bike - quick fix it, (make it run) and flip it, that was like 3 years ago.
I wanted a dependable bike, that I wouldn't have to fuck with too much, sadly I got a Triumph Triple, and fuck with it is about all I do to it (for now) though, once I heard it wail, I was hooked for life. ........ a Triumph Twin may be like a bad dream, but a Triple is a Nightmare !

alright sweet got my motor back. to plane the head, bore ea cyl, put the springs and valves in make me 4 new guides with the bronze liner, beadblast everything and check to make sure everything is good he charged me 250 bucks canadian after taxes. i painted the cylinders high temp gloss black. got my fender from 7 metals, dont know if u can tell but the rib is actually off 1/8 inch off to the right side drives me fricking crazy and i wish it had a rolled edge just doesnt look right to me. will be putting the motor together this week and getting my seat bungs and fender struts tacked together this weekend, sucks not having a proper shop.

i wanted something different for the fender struts so i copied rustynails 63 trump if anyone remembers it. i bent the rod today i might tweak it alittle bit. also i need to lower my front end i let the setscrew out and bottomed out the fork ands its still not quite level. from the bottom triple trees to the centre of the axle is 29.5 inches bottomed out. will the 22 inch stock tubes still have enough travel to work? or is there a different way to do it.
