Seat pan frame work is done. Soon it will be covered in fiber glass and covered!

Started working on the pipes today. I'll get them all tacked up then make the mounts. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the front cylinder pipe done

Thanks guys. I may need to sell a kidney to get the pipes and sissy bar chromed. I traded a .357 mag for all the paint work and fiber glass work on the tank, fender, and seat pan.

Looking for the matching left side controls and bracket to go with this right (brake) side set up. I put up a wanted add with no luck. If anyone knows or has one please PM me! Sorry the picture doesn't show it that well. Its an original harley set up (besides the GMA master cylinder, which I know is blocking the view of the bracket).

Got the first exhaust mount all made up. I plan on making about 4 more. The bolt in there now isn't the one I will be using, it was just the only one long enough to make it work for now. The bung on the rear pipe is recessed for a 3/8" allen head bolt and thats what I will be using.

So I took the suicide shift lever, sissy bar, and pipes to the chrome shop today. Talked them into doing the shift lever for free. They were concerned that the front cylinder pipe wouldn't fit in the tank, but got it all sorted out...It's still going to cost me $600 (ish) and it'll be about a month before they are done. I feel sorry for the guys that have to polish all these, but its going to fucking rule when its all done! Here are two shots of the pipes, all welded and slash cut

I just read through this thread and I really dig what your doing...could you explain the seat pan frame idea for me? Is it just to lay the fiberglass so you can build the seat?

Thanks man! The seat pan frame will be fiberglassed on the sides, the top, and up the back. I will basically just lay masking tape across the gaps and then lay the fiberglass over that and wrap it around the bottom of the pan frame. The bottom of the frame wont get fiberglass but when I cover the seat, it will have material wrapping totally around it, I plan on having a velcro hatch sewn into the bottom so I can stash shit under the seat, and the material covering the seat will keep it from dinging the paint on the fender.
Here is a cheesy picture of how the fiberglass will cover the seat frame

Here is my ugly mug and here is what I got done. Turned this sporty front end into an internal stop set up. Also, I got the last bits needed to finish the clutch side and the kickstand just needs to get welded on! Hopefully everything will be out the door this week while I am gone for training until the 23rd
