Please help! Carb overflow leak

I have a 2000 sporty with a cv carb. The carb started leaking from the overflow tube. Weird thing is it only leaks when the bike is hot & after I shut it off. Not while running. The gas tank is venting properly no pressure when I remove the cap. I replaced the needle valve & the inside of the carb is spotless. I have tried adjusting the float level several times within the manuals specs. And the float does not leak or take on fuel. Last, i checked the fuel petcock. It only releases fuel when the motor is running.I'm ready to throw this thing at the wall! Please help.
