im not sure of the drop.
the stretch is 4 over stock.
as far as the brand of hardtail,i really am not sure.
it's an old alloy nickle or chrome rear section.
some have said it to be an old "Trackmaster" section, and some have said it to be an old "Burbank Choppers" rear section.
anyone's guess is as good as mine.

Trackmaster didn't make rigid bolt on tail sections like this (while they DID make some complete hardtail frames they wouldn't have made one that was 4" over. Dirt track race frames have to conform to AMA rules and it would have been stock length if anything. Sonicweld made rigid dirt track frames for Triumph 500's but again, they would have been a complete frame not a bolt on, stock length and the axle plates are totally different.

Just trying to help. Also, did the carbs show up in the mail yet?!??!!?

you may be right.
i did hear that "Burbank Choppers" back in the day, bought some of the frame rights from Trackmaster.
it's anyone's guess who made the rear section. either way,im glad i didnt sell it.

waiting to hear from Rob right now if they showed up or not.
if they did,im leaving asap to go my bike.

well, found the problem that was causing the motor to run weird.
wasnt the coil, wasnt the Mity Max box, wasnt anything like that.
we never checked the timing gears when we were going through everything. it was rebuilt, but obviously a little half assed.
the timing gears are just like one tooth off, which has been causing it to run funky. it kicks over and runs, but not perfect.
gotta take the top end off and do it all over again and get it right.
at least it's nothing major.
hopefully it will be back on the road by this weekend or monday.

I don't think the top end has to come off.

Can't you loosen the rocker arm tappets all the way off, take out the idler gear and adjust accordingly?

Don't do more work than you have to, recruit.

You want to see how ugly the bike was that had that sissy bar on it?

I'm glad you've brought respect back to that sick trident.
