svwannabe - Yeah, I liked it too, but the customer said he didn't like the way the clutch felt. It wouldn't release smoothly and was kind of jerky I guess. I want to do something similar with mine. Hopefully it'll work out.

Will do. I plan on going to the Yokohama show this year so we'll see. Also, my job may be taking me away from okinawa and up to mainland. Where you located?

Yeah i could see having your legs cramped up in that riding position might affect using that clutch setup... but its incredibly clean...

Latest update. Finished up the front forks with the -4 inch tubes. Moched up the bike real quick to get an idea of what it'll look like. Tank is coming along. The side panels are finally shaped, and I welded them in today. Will post more pics of it tomorrow.
Higa has been working on his shovel and ran into some issues with reaming the bushings for the wrist pins for the piston rods. Has anyone used the Jims Wrist Pin Reamers before?

Hey guys,
Been a while since my post. Been gone for work among other things and have made little progress on the bike. Here is what I have done since the last post.
Welded the tank together
Shaved the back of the tokico caliper and made the mount to fit stock 19" mags
Finished polishing the cases by hand
Made a tool to reinstall my crank/seal instead of paying for the $200 tool
Choppin the frame just a bit. Took off all the unnecessary mounts and such. Nothin major. Just wanted to clear up the front of the frame as much as possible.
Relocated the regulator.
Mounted tank
Polished newly acquired headlight
More to come. Hopefully I will be able to focus and get this thing done soon.

Nothing really to add
I was stationed in OKI for about three years. I completely miss it and the Local I made friends with there, while hashing, running the Naha (sp?) and Kadnea marathon. I am hoping to get back to Oki. Great looking scoot.
