Mike's Triumph

Hard tailing a 2004 America. Salvaged a near perfect bike from the insurance company for $900.00. This is what he did to it. No one knows what the hell it is.

That is DOPE!!! I don't think I've seen a hard-tailed America before. Very cool.

I will take some more over the weekend. HE finally got it to a point where he is not embarrassed. I personally think he has done amazing things to this bike. However he would have NEVER chosen to start with the bike he did. The bike just made it's self available and he went for it. I often joke there is nothing my husband can not do and it is only natural he would under take this. Sick bastard loves a challenge.

TA DA

I'll ask him how much he thinks he has invested.

I didn't think it was possible to make an America look that good. That thing is just smokin'.

Can't wait to see more pics.

Awesome bike. Best of both worlds-new reliability and retro looks.. Can't beat it for the price either. Give that guy a highfive on awesomizing that bike.

Welding a tube between the swingarm and the frame is a less than ideal solution.
Not a mod I would take pride in.

NeoDutch where do you see a tube? Talking shit on an internet forum is not something I'd be proud of. Keep it to yourself.

He is referring to the tubing coming down from the backbone down to where the shock mounts are/were. It's the cheap way out so that you don't have to do lower frame rails. It throws the lines off on the bike.

While not ideal, the bike does look good.

Lindsey

Good bumpin into you and Mike on the side of the road. Hope my directions to the HK got you there. You both stood out like sore thumbs going the wrong way haaaa.

From my stand point Mikes bike look nice for the minimal amount of coin he has into it. Hard tail, springs, struts or what ever a owner does to his bike is his choice. He had ridden the scoot at least 2 hours to the event so thats further then most ride and good enough for me.Like it hate it .... It works for him.

I never met him before pulling over to lend assitance today. Then I realized it was Lindsey. When she realized it was me she gave me a hug and said please please please tell us how to get to the HK. I need BEER now! Thats all I need to point the way imediately and off I went haaa
