XS650 with Biltwell Solo - Too slippery

I've got the Biltwell Solo on my XS650 and it doesn't have enough kick in the back to keep me from sliding. Anyone else running this seat? I've got mod controls and drag bars and I'm not planted very well at all. I haven't even been able to go full throttle from a dig because it feels like I'll slip off the seat lol.

If you're running this seat on an XS, can you post close up shots of your mounting setup? I already tweaked things once but it's still too slippery.

Maybe I'll just start wearing jeans with rhine stones... That might hold me to the seat.

My buddy had a Bitlwell Solo, had the same problem. He just picked up a West Eagle and it's much better at holding your ass in place.

I have the Biltwell on my XS650. What size seat springs are you using? With 3" it was pretty bad, but I switched to 4" and it's much better.

Biltwell slimline solo seat has more kick in the rear. Check the website.

What angle is your seat at when your ass is planted on it?

A recover with leather or something other than some slick vinyl might help.

I think I'm gonna throw an old Ultima that I've got on there for now. This Solo is almost brand new so I don't want to recover it. I'll probably sell it or something. I'm going to try the 4" springs but that might make it look funky. Trying to keep the XS looking good; I've already got one ugly bike.

Thanks for the input guys.

The slim line from Biltwell is nice, plus it was partially designed on a steep and short XS aftermarket chopper frame.
If thats not your bag, that's what p pads are for!

Increase the height of your springs. One or two inches will make all the difference.

I might give that a try when I've got some extra cash around. Thanks for the tip.

I just got the bike back from my fab guy last night, and spent the night moving into my new place. I'm gonna measure the springs tonight and see what it'd look like if I go 1" taller. I'll probably do the springs before swapping seats. The Solo is nice looking and pretty comfy after all...
