Aris Triangular

I've been lookin around the interwebs for some info (one for sale, value, production years, etc.) on an actual ( not repop) Aris triangular headlight and haven't come across anything yet. Anybody point me to something?

I've run originals and the re-pops on a few bikes. The originals work great during the day. At night they are useless. I ran them one night and took them off immediately. The re-pops work at night but aren't the greatest. I ran the last one on my white bike until the inside fell apart. Took a few years but it was fine up until then.

On a new one, I had to drill, re-rivit, and add backing tabs for the rivits. The thing kept coming apart. Which sucks because I painted the shell.

Once I did a He-Man reinforcement, it held up pretty well.

But it pissed me off that I HAD to do that.

I'm pretty sure mine did.

But I never wire a switch for high beam, I don't like bogging down old alternators.

But my light worked decent enough at night.

The thicker one is high/low. I always ran the thinner single beam ones. Didn't like how thick the dual beam one was.

Good info. Thanks. I'll probably just sell it and mount the the dual rectangles. Or a rectangle and a round light, or all three... Go all Quadrophenia scooter style.

I think they look good on bikes with prism tanks or show bikes though.
