Anybody else have a Kawasaki Vulcan bobber or chopper? I did a search and didn't come up with anything, but the Vulcan 800s are great bikes. If you have one, post pictures here! Here's mine:

This was my first custom bike.
95 VN800
I built this thing about 8 years ago in my backyard.
Inspired by the Horse Mag and a tight budget.
My daily rider for 2 years solid.
Sold it for bail money.

Nice bike...I like where you chopped the pipes. Looks cool. And they look so much better with a Sportster (or similar) tank. I'm going to be converting mine to a Mustang tank and some mini-apes this winter.
Just finished making a 50mm ammo can into a saddlebag for mine. I'll try and post pics soon.

My buddy did a real cool 800, but I can't seem to find a good picture, of course. I'm working on a 1500, but lacing the wheels and other obligations have slowed me down.

Hi people ! im new here, im from the Netherlands, came across this forum via a friend who is already in possesion of a nice bike, im at this moment working on my drivers licence, when ready im off to buy me a VN800 , anything i should look out for when buying one ? (im preferring a recognized dealer, might be little more expensive but then i at least know its taken care of properly !)
also thinking about letting the chopping and such beeing done by a shop, since i lack the experience in welding and such.
with this one as inspiration

Probably just examine very closely for crash damage, and for general signs of wear which might indicate that the bike has higher mileage than shown on the odometer. Bikes seem bulletproof to
60,000km. In the USA, buying one from a "recognized dealer" is a guarantee of exactly nothing.
And It would be more enjoyable to study up some and do your modifications yourself (except if you're opting for mods that really DO involve welding) And btw, many many parts and accessories made for classic
Indians & 30's/40's/50's Harleys can be made to fit your VN--and are cheaper than all that "Custom"
crap made for metrics by folks like Kuryakin & Arlen NEss..or Kawasaki for that matter.

Alright , yeah over here it does mean something, i might ask a welder in our workshop to learn me some stuff, he does all the welding at the company where i work. the only downside is i dont have any workspace if i want to chop it and such, only the backyard is an option (when the weather allows it...), think ill ride stock for a while then!!.

Here's my 2001. Wish I never traded it, it was a great, reliable ride. I actually rode it once about 150 miles without any oil, hahahaha, and it never ONCE gave me any problems.

Your moto is awesome man, what was once a gross jap cruiser is a sick little moto now.
