Getting a Honda C70!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife may be right about me. SHIT!
OK, I've been looking for a scooter to ride my 7 year old daughter around on. My wife doesn't want her on my bike and honestly I want her to get used to staying on before I go ripping around with her.
So I've been digging on Craigslist for the past few weeks for whatever in the over 50cc range for shit we can ride around town without getting run over. Most scooters are starting in the $1500 range. Too much for a toy in my opinion. One of the rides I've been drawn to is the Honda C70. My grandparents had a pair when I was a kid and I'd sneak out on one when they'd leave me at home alone, so I guess the nostalgia is there for me.
Anyway, I think I'm going to buy one tomorrow and my wife is super pessimistic, saying that it will only run until I pull it apart to customize it. I was like "shit nobody customizes these." Her response was, "So, you will."
Well that made me start digging around the interwebs for custom c70s. I figured there weren't any. Well I was wrong, check this crazy shit out. I really don't think I'll do anything to it except keep it running, but I may show these to her just to get her freaked out.

They are the most produced motorcycle in the world. Millions and millions of them and they're still making them today. All the cool kids yank the engines and transplant a Lifan 140 engine in it's place. You can get the entire shmere for less than $400 on the interwebs so you can do crazy wheelies and make more noise.
I've been looking for one myself but no luck yet. Apparently they're indestructible.

Had one of those when I was like 13. Super fun. Rode that little sumbitch from Marana, AZ, all the way up to Mesa to get some tail. I don't remember how long it took, but long rides got into my blood there and then.
I'd rip that thing around the dez, ride it all over town, everywhere. First taste of 'freedom' and some independence. It would be fun to have one around, good for ya man....
