KZ400 Rear Disc Swap HELP!

Does anyone by chance know a (somewhat) easy way to swap my kz400 to disc brakes in the rear? From what I can find the kz750s had discs in the back but Im not sure if the parts are a direct swap, I assume they arent. Any help would be awesome.

parts arent a direct swap.
It's easier to go disc to drum, then the other way.
There is fabrication involved in a disc set up. Plus the axle sizes between the 2 bikes are different.

What do you have spokes or mags??? If you have mags you can look into early 80's kz550 rear wheels. For spokes look into kz1000. Don't know if axle size is different but if choppin was easy everybody would be doing it.

I've got mags, but Im thinking of going in a little different direction with the back tire. I was able to find a swingarm that will bolt right up, I'll just need to have shock bosses welded onto the top.

I know the kz650 axle size is the same. but I am not sure if the spacers and everything would work. You should be able to use the caliper, caliper mount, wheel and disc, make new spacers, and run the brake stay to the standard brake stay on the kz400 frame. should be no sweat. buy the parts make it happen.
