Vulcan 800

hey everyone, I've posted a few times on here made a thread or two my most recent being the xs650 picture thread, I just bought a 1995 vulcan 800 got it for a great price guy was even nice enough to deliver it for me at an added cost but I don't have a truck and it was an hour and a half drive to look at it yesterday so I was more than happy to pay what he had asked, the bikes in decent shape needs a starter solenoid nit o got it running with a jump when it showed up today, now for a good cleaning a tune up and the usuals as its been sitting a while. I'll post up pictures tomorrow!

any advice on them?

Had one, loved it. Search for Vulcans on the forum here and you'll see all that can be done with them, and more.

Bobbing it is the first choice because it has the fat front wheel, 2nd choice chop it if bobbers don't do it for you.
Consider going softtail to hardtail with a strut under there instead of the shock.

The very solid mounting points for the passenger pegs suggest putting on sportsbike sliders--a very, very practical
addition to these bikes. Sliders on a cruiser has a certain WTF value as well.

sorry about the picture delay, and thanks for the advice guys! I intend to get used to the bike first an then do a frisco style chop out of it with some nice window bars and ect, but I'll be keeping it a soft tail I was on the hunt for one of these or a vlx600 for a few months because the look and the fact it still has a suspension,

needs a few things but for the price I paid I have no problem doing the minor things Can't wait to get used to the ride and then time for the Real Fun!
