I had an auto-advance timer on my '56 and had a lot of issues with it. The weights can start to stick if it is not maintained properly. In addition on both manual and auto timers you need to watch...

Actually the upper triple tree now looks damn close to the where the dash will sit. Have to wait for the new tanks to be sure. The best part is it takes nothing to change it back if it does not...
