Just buy the whole thing. Problem is, you cant buy directly from Cycle Electric. I bought the whole set up last year, best prices i found for everything was on amazon.

I like stainless lines. I've done copper hard lines and aluminum, both work, and are easier to make than stainless, but work harden over time and crack. You cant flair stainless with a cheap flare...

I have a 2.5CLR die for a JD2 model 3. You have to modify it to make it work, but it works awesome. You have to call in to order the die, i can get you pics of what to do if you go that route.

Im not an expert, but just got mine together. The spring goes in the hole on one side, not both slots. That will hold the shoes in a bit. And yes, its a pain to get it all the way to the hole.
