I know this is a little out there, but to give you some perspective, mine is a custom built hardtail. stretched 7 inches and the seat is dropped 4. Not everyone's cop-o-tea, but she rides nice!

I have one on mine, but the frame was widened to fit a 180 rear tire and it is still tight. Maybe a weld on? Mine is a bolt on.

yup. forgot to say I polarized it. Like I said, regulator is verified good by the generator shop.

edit. I will try polarizing again, because I cannot remember if I did after taking the genny out...

Check out Al Emerson in Iowa. He goes by Emersonal on instagram. He did my drop seat/stretch on my ironhead. awesome work and reasonable. Bitter End Old School Choppers can do it as well.

I had an ironhead sporty do almost the same thing. Turns out it was a bent valve stem so when things got hot, it tightened up and stopped the motor. I would adjust the valves on the side of the road...
