You have aftermarket tanks and dash, you are never going to get anything to fit with out lots of work and sweat and when you are done you still have inferior stuff.

Are your tanks OEM?

They are made by Dynatek, but to Ultima specs. There has to be a reason they cost less!

I would buy the 53 case and have it machined to match your 52, as far as belly numbers not matching they do not match now, so no loss there at least you would have real H-D cases and that would bring...

You are making it sound to easy to pull the stator,(alternator) there is a little more to it then just pulling the compensator and clutch.

Take it to the DMV here in Kansas they will send you to the Highway Patrol guy who deals with M/C and is very educated on VIN's, you will NOT leave with that engine!
