I've got a bridge to sell to anyone who believes Donald Trump's claim that he fired FBI Director James Comey because Comey wasn't fair to Hillary Clinton.
Trump fired Comey because the FBI was getting closer—by the day—to the truth about Trump's ties to Russia during the 2016 campaign.
Just days before he was fired, Comey had asked for more resources for the investigation.1 And prosecutors had just issued grand jury subpoenas for associates of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.2
Trump is not just a liar (although that's well established). He may also be a traitor. And for the sake of our democracy, we need to know the full truth.
Republicans have, to put it politely, not led the way in doing what's necessary to protect our democracy. It's up to us to stop this cover-up—which means serious, ongoing grassroots pressure to force Senate Republicans to authorize a nonpartisan, independent investigation.
So,now just because the director gets fired,any FBI investigations going on suddenly stop?I don't think it works that way.Quote:

During an appearance on CBS’s Face The Nation, The Washington Post’s David Ignatius relayed the growing fear of Trump among Republicans, “Talking this week to several prominent Republicans, people who have not been sharp critics of Donald Trump, I heard the same thing, which is: This guy scares me. And I think the reason that people were scared this week is that they saw impulsive behavior, they saw a kind of vengeful, brooding about past slights. They saw a willingness to be — to be — just basically to lie to the country, not to tell the truth. And I think — one person said to me, there are no guardrails on this presidency. Another person said, this is Richard Nixon on steroids. In other words, this is kind of a hyperactive — so, I think that’s where we are at the end of the week. A lot of people are scared. And they wonder, how do we get out of this?”
The whispers that Republicans are looking for a way out have been getting louder off the record ever since the President accused Barack Obama of wiretapping him.
Republicans really appear to have believed that they could manage Trump. What they are finding out is that they greatly underestimated Trump’s capacity for misuse of executive power, the Russia scandal, and Trump’s own mental and emotional instability.
A bad 2018 midterm election result combined with growing Trump scandals could be the forces needed to create a bipartisan movement that would lead to the president’s removal. It is important to note that political scandals usually take years to unfold. It understandable that people want Trump gone now, but the reality is that the nation is likely looking at two more years for the Russia scandal unfold.
Republicans in Congress are trying to jam through their agenda because they know they are living on borrowed time. The wheels are going to come off of Trump soon, but before they do, Republicans are trying to get all they can.
The ground is shifting when it comes to Republicans and Trump. The fact that a sizable number of Republicans want a special prosecutor to investigate Trump demonstrates that the president’s support within his own party is cracking.
If Republicans are really scared and looking for a way out of their Trump mistake, Democrats would be happy to work with them on getting an independent investigation into Trump and Russia.
The door is opening a crack towards impeachment, and if Trump keeps dumping gasoline on the fire, enough Republicans will eventually join Democrats in walking in.

If Donald Trump’s undeserved election win, his massive amounts of lawsuits and sexual assault allegations, and his Russia scandal weren’t enough to remove him from office, there is one thing that no one can ignore – he’s not emotionally stable enough to handle a job with such responsibility. Thanks to a new report by Politico, we’re able to see what goes on in Trump’s White House and see the side of Trump that his aides see every single day – quite frankly, it’s terrifying and obvious that this man should not be in office.
Politico reported on the current climate in the White House, and it’s an absolute disaster. Trump is so unstable and erratic that his team actually has to hide information from him so he won’t fly off the handle. Even more disturbing; Trump creates his policies after being inspired by printouts of internet stories his staff gives him – and some of these are false articles.
Politico reported:
When Trump bellows about this or that story, his aides often scramble in a game of cat-and-mouse to figure out who alerted the president to the piece in the first place given that he rarely browses the Internet on his own. Some in the White House describe getting angry calls from the president and then hustling over to Trump’s personal secretary, Madeleine Westerhout, to ferret who exactly had just paid a visit to the Oval Office and possibly set Trump off.”
Trump’s team also has to make sure that Trump’s insatiable ego remains fed a steady stream of praise – when they should probably be focusing on more critical tasks:
He uses the Internet minimally, other than tweeting and tracking his mentions, so what other news stories he sees can be more haphazard. Trump does receive a daily binder of news clippings put together by his communications team, but White House officials disagreed about how much he reads those. White House and former campaign aides have tried to make sure Trump’s media diet includes regular doses of praise and positive stories to keep his mood up – a tactic honed by staff during the campaign to keep him from tweeting angrily.”
What is being described is a White House full of chaos in which Trump could become unhinged at any moment if his team isn’t flawless in controlling his mood swings. Trump’s news consumption is highly susceptible to fake news and misinformation, putting the country in grave danger for more disastrous policies and conflicts with other countries.
At this point, the American people know more about how to run the country than the actual POTUS, and his lack of emotional stability threatens to keep him in the dark as his aides must actively hide important information from him. Just look at the amount of damage Trump has done in just a few months.
If Trump isn’t removed from office, America will be doomed if the country has to endure his full term.

I remember having a mock election in the seventh grade where I learned the difference between the popular vote and the electoral college and how it works. This snowflake must have missed that day in school. The Environmental Protection Agency was going to ban it, but Donald Trump canceled it. Now people are getting sick.
The pesticide, which is manufactured by Dow Chemical, is known as Vulcan and it uses a highly toxic ingredient called Chlorpyrifos. The EPA under President Obama had scheduled the ingredient to be banned from use in agriculture because of the danger it poses to human health. But Trump rescinded that order in March and excused it by saying that there is no evidence proving that Chlorpyrifos is harmful.
Of course, experts have repeatedly pointed out that the chemical causes brain damage in children. Furthermore, the National Institutes of Health have warned that it causes “adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects.”
Nevertheless, Trump’s EPA reversed the decision and then proceeded to brag about it and claim that the EPA is “returning to using sound science.”
By reversing the previous Administration’s steps to ban one of the most widely used pesticides in the world, we are returning to using sound science in decision-making – rather than predetermined results.”
Seriously.
Well, real-world evidence of just how toxic the chemical is just bit Trump on the ass.
Dozens of farm workers in California got sick after wind blew the pesticide over Dan Andrews Farms on Friday after Sun Pacific Farms used the chemical on their orchards the previous night.
We started getting an odor, pesticide odor, coming in from the mandarin orchards west of our field,” Supervisor and Food Safety Specialist Efron Zavalza told KTEG.
In all, 50 workers were exposed to the chemical. All of them left the fields but many did not stick around to get medical treatment. Those who did seek treatment reported vomiting and nausea. One person even passed out.
The exposure led to a statement from Kern County Public Health, which advised people to seek treatment as soon as possible.
Anybody that was exposed, that was here today, we encourage them to seek medical attention immediately. Don’t wait. Particularly if you’re suffering from any symptoms. Whether it’s nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, seek medical attention immediately.”
If that isn’t bad enough, just keep in mind that this poison is being used on food that people are going to eat.
And it’s all because Donald Trump and his EPA minions are science deniers who side with big business over people.

Instead he won by a landslide. If Obama would have been subjected to this kind of constant negative press there would be an outcry of racism, one of the dems favorite overused terms.
