whats up guys didnt see a spot for intro's so heres a quick one. then on to shameless promotion. im james i ride out in the sandbox known as vegas with the boys in the vegas crew. we like to drink,ride,repeat..... so ya. im pretty quiet on boards but ill chime in if ive got something worth a shit.

on to the promotion....hahaha

Us chest thumpin vegas kids are hosting a pretty sweet cycle swap! it will be held at the oldest bar on the las vegas strip. they have a huge parking lot for anyone and everyone who wants to bring there old parts out and buy, sell, or trade them. it will be the first sunday of every month starting Sept 6th.
There will be no spot fee's. kind of an honor system if yer making money hopefully you'll donate a lil portion to help with the cost of puttin this thing together. Dino's is a full service bar and we also have one of the best salt water dog stands out there, right next to the front door.
Were starting it later in the evening so the heat wont beat ya down. so come on down. if anything its a reason for a great party and some good times.http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii85/666creeper666/Cycle_SwapFlyer.jpg

Not sure if this is the correct spot for intros, but it'll work for me. Riding in West Mich. on a 88 XL 1200. Kinda lame now, but plan on a Led Sled hard tail next summer. Hoping to get my sandwich clamps on a DNA springer sometime along the way too. Hoping to find some good ideas on here. So far, I like what I see.

08-01-2009, 8:44 AM
Hey all,

Scotty from Atlanta. This place looks good with some cool features the other forums dont have. Looks like home!

I'm on a 1965 Pan chop with all original pan drivetrain, front end, and tanks/dash in a 49 wishbone frame. Originally built in 1974. I changed the rear fender, seat, and added the sissy bar. Just need to paint the fender and chrome the sissy bar.

i'm also working on a 1969 Shovel trike. Had to pull the motor for rebuild but you get the basic idea. No money to finish this one so it will be in the raw for a while.

Hey everyone! Awesome to see this up and running. I'm in Murrieta, CA. I'm currently running a magneto fired1980 FLH that was rebuilt by Trent over at Atomic Customs. My 3.5 gallon fatbobs took a dump at the welds, so I'm temporarily down. Anybody needs anything around the IE, especially Riverside, Temecula, Murrieta, let me know.

hey all my name is Delmer and i just love motorsickles.
i grew up in a trailer park, until my pa's meth lab blew up.
thank God my tin foil hat saved my hair. my left nipple wasn't so lucky.
my first bike was a trike(He-Man big wheel).
but then then i saved up all the change from friends and neighbors couch cushions and bought myself a K-mart special "FS-1200",with blue tires and gold rims.
i then attempted to jump it over a creek with my cousin/girlfriend. i lost a tooth. i got a fake one and then she broke up with me. i was devistated.
but nonetheless,it fueled my fire and love for two wheels later in life.
now i have a ton of awesome parts that don't even come close to resembling a bike.
i hope one day to own a gas station where i can store all my junk in the shop garage and marry a clueless rich girl who's soft in the head.

Hey all. Real excited about the site and being a part of it.

About me: Been riding off an all since the teen years. 2 years ago I had a Screaming Eagle Road King. And I was the type to let others work on it. I sold it because I was not riding it, too busy with kids etc. And for the last 2 years I have wanted another bike.

This March I bought a 2003 sportster in pieces. I rebuilt it my self and have learned the satisfaction of working on my own stuff. Plus I did it on a budget of less than $3000, so having something fun and personal means more than my old, 'store bought' custom.

I am still learning what looks good, what I like, what works, etc. but above it all I am having fun 'riding and wrenching'

Here is the bike in its current form and I am sure that will change over time.

Work as an archaeologist for the U.S. Forest Service and am currently stuck in the East Texas pines until the end of September. Looking at buying a XS650 While i'm down here and riding back home to minnesota when work is done, and then chop it or covert it into a street tracker type bike like the SR500 featured today. Havent decided which.

Yeah, they are 02 or 03 Buell. Came on the bike when I bought it. I kinda like that they are different. And the thing handles very well.

I'm 36 years old been riding since I was 15 or 16. Blue collar kinda guy currently working in a mill making aluminum for the world to use. I used to belong to one of the bigger three piece patch clubs out there but circumstances change and decided to leave (out good!). Turns out motorcycles are more fun without all the "extra rules and bullshit". Now I love working on my bike as much as I love riding it. I do powdercoating and recently purchaced a milling machine lathe combo I'm figuring out. I think I'm pretty good at fabricating some parts too. oh ya I also used to compete nationally in shooting sports and was once ranked 9th in the world.

Started with an Indian Enfield

Build a BSA a65 Rigid,

Traded it for a 2000 Evo sporty 883 with a 1200 kit .020 over, ported and polished. It will be my project bike once it gets cold again here. should be a rigid rider by spring!

im Matt Stephens from "close to texas" louisianer. im 24 and ive been riding motorcycles since i was 3.
i work in a motorcycle shop with my dad, and we do everything from ground up customs, to changing tires and oil on twin cams. we are mainly geared toward motor work though.

this board looks very good and has great features.....not to mention (it seams like) better moderation. Im glad to see that the Jap stuff is not only tollerated but encouraged. I may not be into jap bikes myself but alot of good work goes into many of them and i still draw insparation from craftsmanship, no matter what kind of powerplant is used.

we usually stay so buisy that we rarely get time to work on our own projects. ive been building this "wide tire" shit for myself since 03 and still havnt finished it. ive probly built 8 or 9 bikes for others in between. not to mention our land speed bikes that have ate up the last two years.

My name is Jon and I live in SoCal. I've built a few bikes, I'm an old fart you know. (starting to feel like an AA meeting) Yes I've ridden a bit, Harley mileage pins up to the 100,000 mile club in my twenties and still ride when the mood hits me. Not as much as it used to but oh well. I have a grown son that seems to have the bug and enjoy teaching him when I have time.

Here's some of the stuff we've done.

<a href="http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss351/MyManyProjects/?action=view&current=TrioH.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss351/MyManyProjects/TrioH.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Riding a 1988 sporty 1200. It's pretty stock now. My wife rides on the back wherever I go, so going hardtail can't happen till I get another bike. (she can't ride her own, and never will) plan on getting a Led Sled tail for it next year. Just rattle canned it a few weeks ago while her relatives were over. Ah yeah, I'm originally from Kansas City and lived in NYC for about ten years. Didn't have a bike until I got here though.

Heya

Way pumped about the site. Been looking forward to it for quite a while now. Umm just got serious about bikes this spring. Finished my first build last week. Working on a 72 ironhead, but really learning as i go. Also really getting into Triumphs. Just bought one off a JJ ad. Its probably my most beloved belonging. It was all done when i bought it but im gonna start taking the time to make it mine this winter...

Hey, name is Mike (NH Mike) from New Hapshire. I'm 36, and got a 01 Kawasaki Vulcan that I'm building into a Bobber. it's well on it's way and I've got some more plans for it this winter like hardtailing it. I'll be buying a nice King Peanut tank this week and adding that as well. it's not my dream bike, but with an X-wfe and 3 kids, it's what I can afford...at least I'm on two wheels.

I'll try and put up a couple pics, not sure if it'll work or not.

My name is Jon and I live in SoCal. I've built a few bikes, I'm an old fart you know. (starting to feel like an AA meeting) Yes I've ridden a bit, Harley mileage pins up to the 100,000 mile club in my twenties and still ride when the mood hits me. Not as much as it used to but oh well. I have a grown son that seems to have the bug and enjoy teaching him when I have time.

Here's some of the stuff we've done.

<a href="http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss351/MyManyProjects/?action=view&current=TrioH.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss351/MyManyProjects/TrioH.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

A couple bikes my son and I redid for a friend that has since passed away.

1942 Flathead 80

My 1947 Knucklehead. I did this in 1979 and have just recently torn it down for a little "remodeling".

I have a couple 45 projects (a solo and a trike) waiting for time to do them. Got about five more years in SoCal, then we're heading north to Oregon. At least that's the plan.

The Knuckle looks amazing.
