Dave from Fresno, CA. Recently got a steal on my first street bike, a 1997 XL1200C with low miles and lots of chrome.

Once I sell off all the glitter gear, I should have more than enough cash for a weld-on hard tail! My plan is to build a simple bobber re-using as many stock parts as possible and doing as much of the work myself as possible.
Stay-tuned.

Can I really say GS1000 here?

Hey all, just stumbled on this board this morning, now Im late for work. Looks like a good spot here. I like the the "best of " thread area right off the bat.

I build Triumphs & BSA's a lot. I have ride a 78 GS1000 as well thats about to get a good wackin, cool to have a place to talk about it. Now I know why Gay people are so happy to come out of the closet.

I have a Jap bike thats 30 years old & I like it. Wow, that felt Great.

Currently working on a BSA chop/Girder, & a Bonneville 750 stocker with a twist or 2.....or 5.

What's happening people? Jim from northern NJ here. I spent my late teens and early twenties working the parts counter for Leo at the old Deal in Wheels shop in Rahway NJ. I've got a ratty well ridden 90 fxstc that I've owned since I was 18. I also have what use to be a store bought Ultra rigid. I hated how it looked but it had a S&S 96" Evo, Revtech 5spd, Primo enclosed primary, & a perfect size frame for me so I changed it up a bit see my profile pic. Still working on getting it painted but black works for now. Hoping to build myself a Flatside Shovel when I can get my friends father to part with it. My forum name is because my garage has a dirt floor that some of my friends & I nicknamed Dirt Floor Customs. That's all for now I guess.

Name's Mike. I live about 40 minutes north of Pittsburgh in a little town called Beaver PA. Yes its really called Beaver, and yes Ive heard all the jokes... Anyhow, Im your average scumbag, amature builder. My focus is on finding vintage Japanese iron and turning it into cafe racers, and bobbbers. Right now my buddy and I have a slew of bikes waiting to get worked over.
-71 Honda cb350 cafe racer (almost done...)
-72 Suzuki t250 2 stroke streetbike, not sure where im goin with that one...
-76 Yamaha xs500 cafe racer
-78 Honda cb750, its real rough but once we get around to her, it should be cool. Were going to do a CR style race replica.
-80 Honda cm400, thatll stay stock...
-74 Honda cb360 bobber

Hope I can learn some new shit, and meet some cool folks here. If theres anything I can do to help anyone out lemme know... Thanks.

Hey guys, thought I'd throw my intro in the mix. I unfortunately haven't ridden in over 25 years and am finally in a position to get back into things. Got married, raised a family, you know the deal. Anyway, lurked a bit over at the JJ and was a unsure about joining since I don't currently own a HD. I did end up finding out about this place so it was more than worth it. I'm here to learn and hopefully meet a few kick ass peeps in the process. Later.

Hi,

Been riding, building, fixing Harleys since 1991. Started with a 1965 sporty. Learned a lot, spent enough to buy 2 new sportys. Then in 1997 bought a 73 shovel which was stolen about a year later. Then rode a 1999 Dyna wide glide until I sold it in 2006 to build a bike. Built a custom bagger on a paughco frame. Sold that and now I've been buying crashed sportys and fixing them. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll199/99fxdwg/th_181-8132_IMG.jpghttp://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll199/99fxdwg/08sportypm-1.jpg?t=1261023037

I'm Franke live in Wake Forest, North Carolina. I'm 22 and been into bikes for over 13plus years. You know what sucks about guys my age? We are always put into the "ah they only like bikes because its the in thing" but slowly but surely we are out living th rush. End of rant. Always looking for something new to take apart and rebuild better. I have my main ride which is a 95 sporty and putting to gether parts for a pan that I want a side car on. Anyone in the area into cut up home made hard ridden bikes hit me up.

Hi Shuffle and welcome to the forum. You picked a good time to get back into bikes. The economy is in the shitter and the bottom is falling out of the bike market. If you like sporty bikes a new Buell can be had in the six grand range. Sportys are real cheap right now with the older evos going for $2000-3000. If you like to wrench on your own bikes..... ironhead baskets can be found for under a grand. I have seen pretty nice ironheads go for $1500-2500. I am just finishing up my Triumph chop.....$2200 total invested which includes new seat, tires, tank, paint, handlebars, grips, foot peg rubbers, starter rubber, shifter rubber, mirror, cloth wires for new wiring, frame painted, new (well used eBay) pipes, exhaust wrap. I fabbed up some of my mounts and put speed holes in others and used some stuff I had laying around or that was given to me by my friends....... headlight, taillight, rear fender and stays (CB550 Honda front fender), and a couple of shorty mufflers I got for free when I bought some sporty pipes off eBay. I also painted the frame myself, shaved the fork legs and top triple clamp (lot of damn work). It took about three or four weeks, off and on to complete and a year to gather the parts. I probably could have done it for about $500 cheaper if I hadn't gone for the custom paint and a few other really costly items. So....... your time has come..... get out and find that bike....... Later... Dew.

Rip all the bullshit off and you'll have a mean machine. Welcome to the cult. I'm a fairly new myself, but this place kicks ass! Let me know how your doin bro and we can shoot the shit.

Just drop the rear with a set of struts (two flat steel bars with holes in each end), raise the forks a couple of inches in the triple trees, throw the front fender away, throw the instruments and warning lights away ,put on a set of clip ons from ebay, thin the foam on the seat and recover the seat, chop the rear fender a few inches, and paint with Rustoleum semi-gloss black........ instant bobber for under $200.... and very, very Koooool...

Been watchin this board for awhile and figured it's time to sign up and introduce myself. My name is Johnny Rotten and I've ridin the same Shovel for almost 25 years. I do all my own wrenchin and fabrication. Riding is about all I have ever lived for. Spent most of my adult life just drifting around on my bike. Been known to party my ass off at times and raise alittle hell. Right now I'm livin in Southwest Okla.. Not a lot goin on here as far as people buildin bikes so I look on the net for builders to watch. I like all bikes and all styles. I'm especially crazy about the older machines. Choppers and Bobbers. I guess I said enuff. I'm not known for shootin the shit awhole lot so I don't know how much I'll post here. Although the people on this board seem like my kind of folks. Maybe I'll meet ya at a run somewhere. Later

Once I figure this place out I will put a few pics up. I sent some in to the photodump so maybe someone will put them up. Jap bike so it will be there if they do.

Been lurking here for a lil bit, figger its time to put a intro on here. Im from Norcal originally (Humboldt), joined the Army almost 13 years ago, been to the sandbox a couple of times, most recently getting back this past August. Picked up a 99 Vstar 1100 when I got back, and have been fucking around with it since I got back. I'm a Tank Mechanic in the Army, so I do all my own work on the bike. Recently painted it, put pipes, and a pod kit on it. not sure which wayh I'm gonna go with it, but this site has sure given me a bunch of ideas for it.... and for some reason, a itchin' to do a XS650 build....

Hello, my name is John I am a custom painter from DeLand Fl. My company is Elite Kustomz Inc. I specialize in motorcycle paint especially the the old skool stuff, kandy, metalflake, ghost patterns etc... I will post up pics of my work after you all get to know me a bit and after I figure out how to do so on this forum. I do not currently have a bike, the one I did own got stolen by the shop that built it when they went out of business and dissapeared all I have left is the frame and tins and I have no papaers for the frame to prove it is mine, that was all in the shop where the bike was being built. Anyway my friend Micah told me to check out this forum he says you are all a great group so here I am. In advance I am glad to meet you all and hope to see you on the forum.

33yr old, been riding for a while, got a 90 883 xlh, i got it tore down to frame and engine right now, looking at getting my hands on an xs650 to brat in the near future, i love anything on 2 wheels, i have no brand loyalty, as long as its cool, and gets me from point A to point B. although i do love brit and jap the most, contrary to my current ride being an HD. I really like it here, the people seem great, the projects amazing and the bikes incredible. I really like the eclectic nature here, and the open mindedness view of bikes in general. dont know how much i will be able to contribute, but i will give it my best

Hello. I've been lurking around a bit. Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Daniel Huggins from western NC, codename Speefiend. I'm 30, married, 2 kids, 1 on the way. I've been around on some of the other boards(JJ, caferacer.net,Tonup, and a few others) but I really dig this place! I've learned that my opinions aren't always popular, and that I don't know as much as I once thought. So I'll try to keep my posts limited to the things I have first hand expierance with, and not post personal opions. My back ground is all vintage. Never had anything new or Jap. My first bike,age7, was a 64' Moto Morini Franco. Then a slew of T/B25's and 50's and a few 441's. Then onto street bikes, 67' Atlas, 79' Bonnie special, then my current bikes. Also, I'm dis-lex-ick. So, please forgive my spelling. Anyway heres my bikes and stuff.

Just signed up today. Name is Adam, live in Rochester NY (for now). I'm a complete noob, got my first bike ever little over a year ago (2007 Honda Shadow 600 VLX). Crashed it the second day I got it, fixed it up and then hit a dead deer on the highway going 60 this summer. Surprisingly stayed on and only lost the spring in my kickstand. So I hopefully got all my crashing out of the way and I can concentrate on riding better and learning how to chop.

I don't know too much but I get bored at work and look things up, so if I ask a stupid question feel free to make fun of me as long as you answer the question after. Only one of my friends is into bikes so I have no one to work on shit with, so someone told me about this place and maybe I can meet people to teach me the way. After I get my shit together I want to start chopping my Shadow so I'll probably be bugging you with questions and stuff.

Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usally something unusual. Name is Mark. I operate a landscape construction company on Long Island and an ironworks company in Brooklyn, mostly wrought iron forge work, gates and fencing mostly. Neither of which has made me any cash the last 6 months. I grew up on bikes and love riding. Had a bad faceplant on my kx in my early 30s... (still don't have a front tooth) sold my bikes and almost a decade has gone by since I been back on 2 wheels again. A few months ago I started buying bikes to chop & bob over the winter to give me something to do. I'm hooked!!! I haven't felt this excited about getting out of bed every morning since Saturday mornings when I was 12. I remind myself daily how lucky I am and consider any day above ground a great day. I look forward to 2010, and builing and sharing on this forum. Thanks in advance to all for your imput. Nice to meet yall.

loving this shit already!! just has a feeling of home. kinda like the smell blood and oil. always rebuilding my 81 xs 650 to try and keep it from looking like the next and hoping to score an old vintage 70"s chop soon.
i'll hunt and rummage every piece of scrap in a pile because i'm cheap broke and would rather build it than buy it. love brass and copper, i like it rough, rowdy and with rattle can paints with used oil for paint sealer, i don't wash polish, shine and would rather push it than tow it. i don't build trailer queens or trophy whores. i believe originality looks better and costs less.
this being said, i'm sure i love it here

i'm down in san diego and couldn't ask for a better place to live. grew up a little further north in a desert town called ridgecrest, ca but came down here for college and now i'm a grad student. i have loved bikes since i was young but my family never owned any and i have been too poor until recently picking up my first bike this year after finally getting my license this summer. i totalled my first bike which was an 04 yamaha v star and looking back, i'm glad the way it turned out. got more money from the insurance than what i payed and was able to pick up an 86 sportster 1100. i have always fantasized about a harley and surprised i was able to get one at the ripe age of 23. so now i'm just trying to wrench and find ways to chop with a grad student budget with a shitty job. props out to those riding in freezing weather right now; the winter is when i truly appreciate living in san diego.

whats up all. new to the site from topeka, kansas. I have a project bike in the works. Its a Honda CB500t. Im working a rebuilding the engine and trans. I also plan on stretching it about 6 inches and making it a hardtail. And that is where I need the help. I was told that there are bolt on hardtail kits for this make of bike, but have had no luck finding any. If someone knows where I can get one, or if you just want to point me to the right forum, I would be forever in you debt.

Hello. new to the board so thought I'd say hi.
I'm just another guy eeking out a living and getting by. I've been riding for probably 35 years or more (I'm 44 tomorrow :)) sometimes on Harleys but lately on jap stuff. Here's a couple pics..the 750 was a ness bike that I just put back together and built the tank for . Got it running with a lot of help from Cyclone in Nor-cal. Rode it on the second EDR until I lost the brakes going over the mountain on the way to Ensenada.

http://i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff327/custmf100/750016Small.jpg
Jsut built this little scoot for the dirtbag challenge...450 Suzuki ...little stretch, handbuilt tank from a 750 honda and widened the rear fender with a piece of steel tubing so I could run the wiring for the taillight. Fun little ride but I need a little more size !

http://i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff327/custmf100/dbc2009067.jpg
So it's on to my next project...I had a guy give me a 600 ninja race bike....he rode it once and parked it as it was a little scary for the little guy! I plan on building a frame and using the harley tank for an airbox like the stock ninja had. Hopefully in time to come party in Baja with a bunch of cool dudes one more time!

The triumph is currently in a pile of parts and stripped down to bare steel for a make over and some much needed love, the sportster is always progressing, just got a spoke wheel for the rear. thats about it, i look forward to reading, asking and hopefully helping on the board.looks like a great place in the short time ive been browsing the forums. heres some pics.

I'm not really a forum guy, just like to check out the site, but Nick (Trumpnut) is a good friend of mine, and has been bugging me to join the CC since it started up. I've got a 74 Ironhead, a 70 T100C, and an 07 XB12S (my newest collectors item, thanks to Hundred Dollar corp management, if thats what you want to call it). I can't leave anything alone, (even took the grinder to the XB the first week), and my favorite bike is the Ironhead, which is about to torn down and reborn into an entirely new vision. Anyway, end of my speech, and the last time I will talk about the XB on this site, cause it ain't a chopper, and that's what I joined up to discuss.

Hello all. I recently found the site and like it very much. I live in Casa Grande, AZ and run around town on my 96 1200 sportster. I got my first HD in 2002 as a mostly stock 1200. I have since added an AIM fork kit, streatched the rear swing arm 3.5 inches, 12 inch apes, nightrain rear wheel, 21" laced front, trimmed rear fender and added a glass Ford tail lamp. blacked out as much chrome as possible and removed anything I dont need to ride. My favorate mod is the homemade foot clutch and brass knucle jockey shifter.

Nice to meet you all and happy riding.

hey guys, i'm trent reker, editor of bikernetmetric.com (http://bikernetmetric.com).

been riding since 1986, when i bought a single-owner 1978 honda cx500. it had a windjammer with a stereo, crash bars, fog lights and cruise control. perfect first bike since the first summer i had it, i worked in yellowstone park. rode all around montana and down to jackson, wyoming, past the tetons, and all over the park, many times.

since that bike, i've owned a 1981 cb750-f super sport (kinda cafe'd), a 1999 shadow ace 750, and my current ride, a 2002 vtx 1800c. as you see, i like honda.

EDIT: almost done with the xs650 bobber with jeff at saint motorbikes (http://bikernetmetricnews.blogspot.com/p/freedom-or-death-machine-build.html).

we're throwing a bash friday, june 11 (http://bikernetmetricnews.blogspot.com/p/freedom-or-death-motorbike-bash.html) at the dirty dog in austin during the rot rally. come by before 5 for beer specials from independence brewery, to see the crazy chop we've built, a few other local garage-built bikes, rockabilly babes, some free swag, and a raffle for a painting that will appeal to the chopper dude in all of us.

thanks for the links to my site, too! you all kick ass.

and robert elswick (below) donated our hardtail and the one-off "oil tank" we're using as a secondary fuel tank. his stuff is hard and tight, it arrives fast, and he's great to do biz with. thanks, man!

Hi my name is Shoe.....

I like taking motorbike rides on warm sunny afternoons, stopping in the forrest for a walk and listening to Seals and crofts Summer Breeze.I find myself most intrigued by the freedom that a motorcycle gives you while letting my hair down and being wild on the weekends .....Most of you know me and those that dont probably will.......sooner or later

Been on the JJ and Xlforum for awhile and decided I'd go ahead and join over here too. Didn't think I had time for another forum, and figured it would be the same shit in a new package but I was surprised. Not bad and I like the diversity here.

Anyway, bought my first and only bike so far in 2001 - a 1200 Sportster. Changed everything I could on it, went through numerous sets of bars, tanks, etc until I got over it. Bought a Flyrite Smokin' Gun frame and spent 8 months last year tearing it down and building my new bike. Kept my motor/tranny and brake calipers and started over. Collected parts as cheap as I could and sold off or traded everything I could. Everything else I made along with the help of a few of my buddies.

Gave it a rattle can paint job to keep the rust off and give my an idea of paint scheme that's coming soon, along with a complete makeover. I took my time building it until the last month, when it was August and the bitch still wasn't done, I hauled ass and got it finished. Getting ready to change out the fender, paint that and the tank, probably change the bars, and rims and tires.

That's intro enough, I think. I'm sure I'll be posting progress on the transformation as it progresses.

I'm here from Ohio. I've been riding since I was about 14 (dirtbikes initially) - so about 20 years. I've got an '83 Ironhead that I'm currently tearing down to chop. Plans are a hardtail, shaved narrowglide, friscod/narrowed gas tank, sprung seat, metal flake paint, and keystones. I also have a '77 XS360 that I'm just gonna ride and let the wife ride, and various hot rod/custom projects. I'd put a pic up, but I'm guessing that most of you know what a half-disassembled ironhead looks like...

Hey there, all. Sorry I lagged with the intro. The name is Jay and I am in the never ending process of building a 2003 Sporty Custom. I picked it up a couple of years ago as a semi bobber. I thought it was just what I wanted.....

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1417/548586775_6a20592b43_o.jpg

Well, I just couldn't leave well-enough alone and over the next year or so, it started to morph. First thing I did was spray that green seat.. Then I cut the rear fender a bit more than the PO had already done and sink some LED's in for the tail light.........

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3194/2946785887_4cf1532af8_o.jpg

6 months ago it looked like this.................

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3385/3454131886_28d2933142_o.jpg

Then I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to cut her up. I cut the whole ass end off it and took the front half down to Robert Elswick for some of his hardtail love.........

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3442/3777134288_423fb5d87f_o.jpg

As of right now it is close to road ready again. Still gotta mount the 2.2 (though I may run the 3.3 until I get her lookin right) Need some more wiring for the lights, trim the inside radius of the fender and bleed the brakes. Maybe I should do a plate mount too??? Ya reckon???

What up y'all? I've been hanging around for a week or two..dig the place. I'm just starting to piece together my second build... a rigid evo big twin. First build was a billit bike & now I'm gonna keep it nice & simple. Bought alot of used parts over the last year from guys that are on here & the JJ. Plan on using some other guys for fab work and what not. I know my limits & I'll leave it to the guys that do it for a living.
Anyway, I'll be starting a build thread on here in the next week.
See y'all soon.

I'm John from Chicagoland and I've been following C.C. since its inception. I don't post much- hell, I don't talk much. I've been riding/breaking my panhead since 1994. Currently it's broken (like most of the time)- don't worry, I have another bike. I'm familliar with older H-D's and learnig about the newer F.I. models. I pride myself on mechinical abilities and do as much of my motor work as possible. Usually, top end and cam chest work along with typical motorcycle maintainence . I spent a year and a half in night school learning how to weld. So I've got that covered. Paint and body work I may leave up to the experts.
Well, that's it in a nutshell. You'll be hearing more from me- I'm gearing up to get the pan back on the road and I'll updating and asking some questions along the way.

Smooth roads,

John

Well like so many others I live for this shit. I've been told for some time now by some friends about this site so I figured what the hell I'll check it out .

My name is Ellis, I dig on all kinds of two wheeled machines no matter the make. I also dig low down bad ass sleds and fast ass hot rods. At the moment I'm building a 71 Triumph I have the engine going back together and will soon be finishing the bike for spring. I also have a 54 Ford chopped and dropped running the old Y-block with one in the garage waiting to be built up and dropped in as soon as I get to it. But for now it's running with the one in it.

I'm in a small car club Vagabond Kings C.C. were located in the N.E. Ohio area we're a pre 1960's American made cars no queens, bikes of all years and makes are welcomed in on a 100% vote in by club members. If this sounds like your thing feel free to contact us and sit in on a meeting we're open to new members but will not just be handing out memberships to just anyone. We are all about helping each other out and throwing down some beers and having a good time in the process. After all if you can't have fun doing this shit what the hell is the point.
Cheers.....Ellis

Hey all!

I am new to the cult, and new to Motor scoots in general.
My dad owned a Honda Shadow 750, I remember he used to let me sit on his lap and steer it, but thats
as far as I got with cycles until I moved to Boone to got to college. I had absolutely NO ambition to ever ride a bike, and considered those who did.. kind of odd.

Thats until I moved in with Punk Skalar the summer before he started his Re-phased XS project and seeing the passion, drive, and artistic nature that goes into building a bike like he does made me completely fall in love with motorcycles.

After being ragged to death for being the hippie without a bike (I learned on the 250 Rebel that he is rebuilding for his wife.. I actually burnt the clutch pack out of it, which is what sparked him to rip it apart and rebuild it. and seeing as im 6'4, a bigger ride was needed.) So I purchased my first bike last summer, a 1994 Suzuki Intruder 800. had 22K miles on it and I got it for 1800 bones. I love it more than anything I have owned in my life. (Which is why it pisses me off when PunkSkalar makes it sleep outside...hes mean.) and I don't think I will ever look back.

Websites that contain communities like this make the hobby go round.

Thanks for having me!

Grew up in Long Beach/Las Vegas. I had a Yamaha enduro 175cc in Jr. High and a mini bike in
3rd grade.
I got back into bikes about 7 years ago and was obsessed in the beginning. I've owned almost 20 bikes during this time. If I had some $$, I bought a bike.
Now I'm down to 2 bikes...
1970 BSA Thunderbolt chopper
2004 HD ElectraGlide with HD Sidecar

My favorites are British bikes but I like any clean chopper, bobber, hardtail, rigid, blahblahblah.

I also play in a Surf/Rock inferno called, MONSTER ZERO.

stumbled across this site by stumbling across the "Nashty Blog" then stumbled onto "Duane Ballard's Blog", in which i stumbled upon a post about Mcgoos SpartanKiller.
This ultimately lead me to stumbling onto my new favorite site to pass through everyday.

by the way.. the SpartanKiller is going to rule.

I ride a couple HDs and have a '54 chevy belair custom, all of which i like to tinker with.
i have a 97 springer softail set aside that had plans on getting into this winter and hardtaliing along with many other mods. BUUUTTTT.. a short trip around the block in my 54 chevy without my hood clips (or should i say my brain) put the Evo on the backburner, since now i had to shell out and hunt for a new hood.. and get working on that.. anyone want a nice satin baby blue hood for a sled to pull the kids on, haha.

good thing though! now that i stumbled upon this site, just reading the forums i have seen many new ideas i want to try out, and now have a place to ask and most likely get answers.

great site.

New old guy here from East Tennessee. I've been looking around in here for a few days and finally signed up this afternoon.

Here is a picture of one of my many bikes - this is a 1979 Yamaha XS 650 - don't mind the old lady and the dog - neither mind me!

East Tennessee is a great state to ride a bike in - my middle boy and his wife live in Elizabethton - just down the road from Knigsport. I live 30 minutes from the Tail of the Dragon - just below Foothills Parkway. 15 miles south of Knoxville.

new guy. from huntington beach CA. Gepetto, (Ryan) has some parts of mine i need back so i can ride my new build. now that he's shaved his face, i would like to use his face as a bicycle seat.

all my bikes are triumph in origin. i say inappropriate shit a lot. but that's because i ride a desk at work and that gets wicked boring.

i'm hoping to win that born free raffle bike so you guys can back out now. born free is on my b-day so it's pretty much a given i'm winning that pan.

Old fart from Dutchess County, NY. Started ridin' as a kid in the 60's. Bought my 1st serious road bike (74 Kawi 900) with my army enlistment bonus. Owned a few Honda 750's too back in the day.

Along about the late '70's, I got interested in Triumphs. Bought a 750 Bonnie & never looked back.
I'd started readin' about the chop scene while still in the service & ended up owning 3 Trump hardtails which are all long gone now.

I'm now riding an 07 Bonnie America (not stock) & love it so much I'm buildin' a chop downstairs using an 04 America motor I got from Pinwall Cycle. Also have a 71 650 in the garage in pieces that needs work but the price was too good to pass up.

I've never been much into the wrenching, just preferred to ride, but now that I'm building my 1st bike from the ground up, I'm getting into it & finding it theraputic.

Spring can't get here soon enough...

Hi,
I'm 26 yrs old from S.Wales (the wet country sticking out from the side of England). Into bikes since i was a kid but could never afford one, got my licence then got a sports bike lasted a year before i had to get rid of it, it had no soul and was too reliable! i like to get my hands dirty. Bought a hardtailed GS550 last year and have been changing little bits ever since. Love the site learning loads from it.

FNG here...

I'm from Northeast Georgia. I've been riding motorcycles for about five years now. I started on a Suzuki C50 and now I'm riding an '04 Fat Boy. It's not chopped, nor do I have plans on chopping that bike. However, once I get a few things taken care of, I aim to build either an Ironhead or Shovelhead from the ground up.

See you out on the road somewhere...

Been lurking around here for a bit and decided to commit. I've built a few bikes in the past few years, including a 76 Ironhead, and a 71 Triumph Bonneville 650. Currently, I just have my daily rider, which is a Sportster. Got twins on the way, so once they are born I'll be looking for another project...maybe another Ironhead, or possibly a Shovel. I look forward to meeting some of you on the upcoming Revenge Run.

I live in mississippi and work a lot so I'm not able to make it to a lot of the runs and rides that i see happening, cause i'm either working or they're too far away from me. like the title says; i love all bikes. i own 2 yamahas a Harley ironhead, a Kawi, a Suzuki and my girlfriend has a Honda. my main rider is a sportbike converted into a streetfighter, and my girlfriend's bike is a streetfighter. My ironhead is mostly stock but thats is gonna change soon. and my Kawi is gonna be a cafe when i'm done so I have a lot of work to do and i'll post pix and stuff so ya'll can give your opinions and stuff. i'm almost done with the yamaha radian it's a bobber and i'll post pix once its painted. i want to aquire an old BSA, or Triumph next but i need to work on what i got now, first, and trust me... I'm a man of limited means, and big tastes! thanks for the great site,

hello, my name's kevin, im currently living right outside philadelphia in the burbs.

About a year ago I purchased a running 1972 r5c. after working out a few kinks I got to riding her all last summer, and started turning her into a cafe this fall. started reading a few blogs and came across chop culture, and since then have been ramping up to get another bike soon and start chopping it asap. I ran into a few old friends and now we are renting a 3 car garage specifically aimed at car/cycle mods. I'm getting pretty stoked on this summer already.

Im loving this forum, it has answered a bunch of questions I had, the people and bikes are exactly what i was looking for for months now. Hoping to learn a lot and eventually contribute.

if your in the area and don't mind a newer guy tagging along, id love to ride. I love new people, beers, good times.

Hi everyone,

Not a lot to say. My old man was into hot rods & bikes when I was a kid and got me into riding as soon as I could handle a bicycle without training wheels. I've had a dirtbike, enduro, sportbike, and currently a 2004 Sporty along the way. After 25 years I've finally figured out that I need a custom bike so I bought a KZ440 and I'm on my way. Ain't she a beauty :-)

Well that led to a 5 month journey of learning some new things, now i got me a badass little scoot! I couldn't be anymore stoked about it, turned out way more bitchin than i ever thought it would. I'll post some pics when i figure out where they should go. Good to be here.
