Hey how are ya. My name is Sean.
I grew up around Motorcycles and have passed the love of motorcycles down to my 5 kids anything on two wheels we love!. One of my boys races Pro Motocross and the other makes videos in the action sports world.
I owned a HD after market shop in San Diego for 12 years then sold it and moved to Utah, my wife and I owned a Harley aftermarket and ATV Motorcross Off road parts and sales business along with a Harley rental business there for several years. Moved back to SD about 5 years ago.
I have a 52 Pan that has been in the family for over 45 years and passed down to me, it is my favorite of over 50 motorcycles I have owned over the past 40 years of riding and racing motorcycles! I am currently fixing my little Pan up as a little bobber style - cruiser. I am always on the look out for a good deal on any year Harley parts with cash in hand or PayPal ready to go..

hello from nor-cal. new to the site , but been lurking for some time now. went down to born free this summer and got amped up with all the nice chops there. it was like i was dreaming about my youth. so went out and bought a long bike roller. got the motor in it and finishing up the 4 spd rebuild. im not anything near a fab guy but i have made some tabs etc and welded to my bikes. of course my welds look like mud puddles, but gettin better. i have several shovels some rigid, some swingarm. got my first in the early 80's. getting to be a graybeard i guess, and good to see all the young kids on shovels....anyways later,,,,,,jony

Born on a mountain, raised in a cave, wrenching and riding is all I crave!! So lets ride all you chopper jockeys. OK so the mountain and cave shit is BS. I'm down here in the Dirty South where we ride all fucking year round. N. Central Fl. to be more exact. My chop I have today is not down and dirty but is a little on the bling, bling side but i still ride the shit out of it. It will be down and dirty one of these days. Been riding hardtail chops since I was 18 that was 37 years ago. Guess I'll ride my hardtail straight to the grave. Past bikes from the start "74" Ironhead, "58" panhead, "77" shovelhead, "77" Ironhead current "99" evo, "74" Ironhead. Do have a shop to wrench out of so any you chopper heads in the area or from a far need a place to wrench or build your chop just give me a holler because wrenching and riding is all I crave!! My next build will be a Pan or shovel have most of what I need minus the motor.

Hi,
Names Terence and I am from South Africa. The chop scene is not very big over here but its growing slowly. I am currently in the process of building up a little Yamaha SR 250 chopper. Its my first DIY build so I decided to keep it cheap and small. Once I got the hang of things I will start a project on a bigger bike.

Current project is a 1968 Triumph T25 that I hope to find a BSA 441 Victor motor to cram in the frame, or even better a B50 motor. I don't have anyone to ride with, nor to wrench on bikes with, all my friends are boring so I'm on my own. Kind of a bummer but whatever. Hit me up if you're around the Morris County NJ area.

Hey out there, everyone. My name is Will, and I am sure I have met a few of you out there, as I am in Vegas, and made it to the last "Alien Abduction Rally" in Rachel, NV. I am currently on a 2006 Triumph I bought new in 07 (and just rolled over 100,000 miles on.) I also have an 83 Shovel that is in pieces in my shed that someday I will get caught up enough financially to get done the way I want it (or at least get it back on the road.) I have been running a biker events and information site here in Las Vegas the last year called sincitybiker.com. Make my way to a lot of events, some kinda cool, others not so much, and list and cover as many of them as I can and hope to have a few events myself. Just did my one year anniversary at the Palomino Club, and plan to start a "ride in movie night" hopefully in March. Still working on details on that, but I plan to have it on the last Saturday of every month at a location to be named later. I am an incessant tinkerer, and love building and wrenching things. My site was started to be a "politically incorrect" adult oriented site for people in and visiting the Las Vegas area. Anyone on here checks it out and has any comments or suggestions, please let me know. Anyway, enough rambling, hope to see some of you out there and look forward to seeing what you have to say on here.

Hello,
New to the forum, however I’ve been lurking for a long time. I’m a motorcycle nut from New England. Amongst other things I’ve been tooling around on an old ratted out Hornet. It’s about time to do something with the old girl. I’ve pushed her way beyond an old A65s limits. So while I have the motor out for a rebuild I plan on fitting her with a proper hard tail, and maybe even some brakes (imagine). I’m thinking of a 4 inch stretch to get the wheel out from under my ass. Any preferences on hard tails? I hear the David Bird ones fit up nicely.

Hello everyone, and good to meet you all. I have been browsing the forum for a little while, and finally made an account that just got approved today. I am 25, live in Daytona Beach Florida, and work in the automotive industry. Motorcycles have always been a passion and hobby of mine. Grew up on dirt bikes, and bought my first street bike at the age of 17. Learned to ride on a Yamaha R6, and over the following few years went through a few other sport bikes, finding that the Suzuki's were my favorite (those GSXR's are some bad ass bikes). About 2 years ago my wife's mom was moving up to North Carolina, and didn't have a place to store her bike just yet. Knowing that I knew how to ride and took good care of my things, my mother in law asked if I could "babysit" her 2004 Fatboy for about 6-8 months. I was very excited because I didn't have a bike at the time, but at the same time was nervous because I had never ridden a cruiser-style motorcycle, and not sure if a bike that big would be a smart idea for a "first time ride". Long story short I took the Fatboy around the neighborhood and could not believe how easy and comfortable it was to handle, especially for someone with such a small frame body type like me. So after I had to say goodbye to the Harley I was on the hunt for a cruiser of my own. The 883's really appealed to me, and people were selling them pretty cheap with only 5,000-10,000 miles. The thing that detoured me from pulling the trigger on one was the price of replacement parts. I knew I wanted a bike to modify, and never having worked on a motorcycle before, I was nervous about making mistakes and having to replace the parts I ruined. So after doing some research I was becoming more and more interested in the Honda Rebel. A single cylinder would probably be the best option for a first timer to learn on, and on top of that a lot of the stuff for the Rebels are pretty inexpensive in comparison...
So that brings me to today. I have a 1996 Honda Rebel with 10K sitting in my garage that is in the process of being modified. I never realized how unsure/unknowledgeable I would be when it comes to modifying anything that will alter the performance. I am hoping to learn things from the many seemingly nice and helpful people in this community. I am pretty clueless when it comes to carbs and rejetting/shimming, but that is what I will be needing help with now.
Thank you to everyone in advance, and I hope to speak to you soon

Just picked up my first motorcycle a week ago, a '79 gs550. I've wanted one for a while but finally just went for it. I used to own a '67 beetle and an '86 ford ranger. I did lots of work on both and it's been about two years so I'm very happy to have something to tinker around with again.

Hey new member from Lexington NC. Looks like there are some Winston & Charlotte folks here.

I'm fairly new to bikes & riding, with a 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom I've had since new. It's still stock, I've just been enjoying learning to ride for now.

I saw there's a Phantom build thread in the Japanese form, I'm glad to see somebody's chopping one, it's one of the few I've seen on the internet with anything besides exhaust & accessories.

Here's mine:

First post to say what's up! I love riding...really. First bike was a 1972 SL70. Trashed the headlight the first ride, which led to stripping it down, putting a mudflap on the front fender and plates, first motocross bike. Then the XR75...damn was it beautiful. These days I do some woods racing, adventure touring, local riding on vintage bikes. Never know what is going to be in the garage. Better mention my Honda Ruckus...it carries me and my surf board often. Working on a start up apparel company. twist1.net I got the site and store working, not all items in the store yet but were getting there. Stop by the site or if you do the twitter thing, I am on there contact_twist1. Brrraappp

Howdy,

Just a quick intro - went through a bunch of Harleys in the past (shovel, evo, sporty, MT500), currently have a BMW F800GS. Fun, but doesn't suit me so I'm planning to start a Harley project. Still hammering out details, so don't be surprised to see questions on anything from Sportys, Panheads, drag bikes to softails.

Hi,
I'm French and leave in Thailand.
I don't have a bike yet (just an enduro) but I will soon as possible. Riding in the dirt is little bit harsh for me now.
Don't know which kind of bike, should be a kind of chopper, Harley.
I like the old one, Knuckle, Iron and shovel but it's pretty hard to find here (expensive or without license plate).
Anyway, I have a bunch of questions but I will read post for starting.
Thank you to let me in.

Newfag: redbanner here,
Been lurming for the past few months, since i left my project to move across state for work.
Started noticing chopped bikes year before last, dont know what really peaked my interest but i started noticing details on peoples bikes and guess i got the bug.
I dug my childhood dirtbike out of the cliffside while cLearing my late grandfather property last march, and then by the end of april i had welded 3 different hardtails on it.
Im really wanting to focus on putting a shovelhead chop together, to emulate an old freinds bike.
Heres some pics of my dt250 i was practicing/messing around on.

Hello there in Chopper Land. My name is Bob and I live SoCal's High Desert. I've grown up with and built a few 60's style mild customs (traditional lowriders) and I'm currently a member of Los Boulevardos CC (www.losboulevardos.com). I recently finalized a deal to obtain my first "real" bike, a CB750 that was chopped when it was brand new in late '71/early '72 by the original owner. The bike was shown for a year or so and featured in Street Chopper Magazine before being torn down for a redo, but was never finished. My intention is to re-finish the bike in a period correct fashion, pretty close to how it looked when featured in Street Chopper. I'll be ditching the Prism Tank as I've never been fond of them, still deciding on what to replace it with. Other than that, I am going to re-use as much of the original build as possible. I signed up here for the wealth of knowledge you dudes have, so I look forward to learning from you guys! My specialty is in traditional customs and lowriders, traditional Choppers are pretty new to me!

Here's a few crap cell pics for now. I'll take and then share some better ones after I pick this bad bitch up on saturday.

Always been a big car guy - but cars are prohibitively expensive (and take up more room than I have!)

Bought a used honda shadow last year and absolutely fell in LOVE with motorcycles. Wish I had gotten in to them earlier, but I probably would have done something stupid (I'm 24 now)

After putting around for a few months then winter hitting - I now have the time to put work into this thing, and I think I found a new passion. I want to go all in on this hobby and use this honda to learn how to eventually do a full build. I have limited mechanical experience but it'll be fun.. and im hoping this place helps with ideas/problem solving in the future :D

Hi. I'm Glascott from Dublin, Ireland. I bought my first bike(s) last November. Two BSA's a '49 C10 rigid with no engine and a '55 C11G plunger with a '56 250cc engine.
The plan was to do up the 11G to factory spec. Now I'm thinking of putting the 11G engine in the 10 frame and doing some basic customisation. Hopefully I will get help/guidance on techniques here.
I'm already on a forum for owners of C series bikes but they get offender if you suggest doing anything that's not original!
Currently I'm working through rebuilding the engine, clutch and gearbox, everything came in pieces.

Im only limited by the inability to fabricate/weld, so Ill be sticking to bolt ons, diff bars, switches, painting stuff, and removing unnecessary things.. but my eventual goal (when I have more $$) is to learn and get ideas to do a full chop build eventually :D

Hi guys. My name is Mike.

The back story on the bike.

Over a year ago I was on a service call and when walking through a messy garage I noticed some Harley parts being kicked all over the floor. I asked about it before I left and they guy owned it for about 20 years, if I remember correctly. He bought it in pieces and never got it assembled. It had been in a serious accident and was transferred, in pieces, to about 4 owners.

After 20 years he lost the title. So i bought all the parts for a $100 and shook his hand. It took about 5 buckets to bring all the parts home. We literally spent 2 hours sweeping up parts, bolts screws etc and dust panned it into buckets.

The engine case matches the frame. The engine case was pretty abused, but it is what it is.

The original owner is serving 2 life sentences in prison for murder. I Googled his name, which was in the original service manual and he's on the front page of quite a few papers back in the 80's. I sent him a letter to prison to let him know I'm building his bike. He seemed pretty excited about that I guess.

A bunch of days after I brought it home the previous owner felt bad and spend the entire weekend looking for the title. He found it! He gave it to me, so it's now titled in my name. All numbers matching.

The frame was really twisted so I cut it in half and mounted a David Bird hard tail on it. 4" stretch and 2" drop.

I spent over a hundred hours polishing the cases, they were pitted bad! It's not a show polish, but looks better than it ever has.

The crank is now balanced and engine work continues.

The rims are original Borani aluminum and we're bent and bruised. I sent them to Buchanan and they straightened out the rear first. Then I polished it so it looks pretty decent. Not show, but decent. I'm looking at a daily driver not a show queen. So i ordered some SS spokes from Buchanan and laced up the rear. I then rebuilt the original drum brake, riveted a new sprocket on, and mounted a Shinko 270 on it. It's a 16"

Currently I'm wet sanding and polishing the frontsb 19" rim. She'll be ready to lace in about 50 hours more sanding.

I just received a used top tripple tree on ebay last week, the old one was cracked bad. It's a 35mm set-up.

That's about it. My goal is to have it a roller sometime in April.

Oh, it's worth mentioning I've never had a motorcycle license and this is my first street bike. I have no idea what I'm doing, I just know my son Henry (10) and I are having fun and the wife thinks it's a pretty cool project.

That's it, that's my intro. I'll read how to.post photos and put a few up.

DEATHSHEAD USA HISTORY

IT WAS AFTER WORLD WAR I THAT THESE NOW ICONIC “DEATHSHEADS” BEGAN TO ADORN AMERICAN MOTORCYCLES. THE DESIGN WAS OFFICIALLY COPYRIGHTED IN 1933, REGISTERED IN 1934, AND NAMED “THE FLOATING SPIRIT.” THEN, A DECADE LATER, DURING WWII, AMERICAN COMBAT SOLDIERS ENCOUNTERED GERMAN TROOPS IN BATTLE WHO WERE WEARING SKULL BADGES. THE GERMANS CALLED THE DESIGN ON THE BADGES A “TOTENKOPF.” THE TOTENKOPF DISTINCTLY RESEMBLED THE FLOATING SPIRIT MASCOTS THAT MANY OF THE AMERICAN SOLDIERS HAD MOUNTED ON THEIR HARLEY MOTORCYCLES BACK HOME. THE SOLDIERS LEARNED THAT “TOTENKOPF” TRANSLATES TO “DEATHSHEAD” IN ENGLISH. LATER, AFTER THE WAR, MANY OF THESE ROUGHNECK VETERANS BEGAN TO FORM THREE-PATCH MOTORCYCLE “CLUBS” AND PROCLAIM THEMSELVES AS ONE-PERCENTERS. THE DEATHSHEAD STEADILY INCREASED IN POPULARITY WITH “CLUBBERS.” THE DEATHS HEAD DESIGN IS NOW OVER 90 YEARS OLD AND IS REGARDED AS THE FIRST 1% FENDER-FLOWN BADBOY. THE WARRIOR-STYLE DEATHS HEAD DESIGN WITH FLAMING RED EYES, CHEVRON-EMBLAZONED TEMPLES, AND A MOVING JAW WAS THE MOST POPULAR.

THE “DEATHSHEAD” HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WELCOME ADDITION TO KNUCKLEHEAD, EL, UL, VL, FLATHEAD, PANHEAD, SHOVELHEAD, CUSTOM BUILDS, BOBBERS, AND CHOPPERS

Hello Chop Culters, obviously new to the page. sad as it is new to the whole " forum" thing all together. Didn't even use the internet until like 2010. No shit. finally got facebook figured out so that's a start. Any way my wife and I have owned and operated a shop in central British Columbia since 2009. Shop name is Kult Klassics. My old man had a shop in the sixties in California called Kult Speed. I work on all motorcycles but prefer the old iron. Welder / fabricator by trade I build my own frames, and do as much from start to finish as possible, from frames to paint to machining so I think I will be following this page, and hopefully be able to help out a bit. There is a real solid group of guys in my area that have a ton of cool homegrown chops, like REAL cool chops. Someone said the other day " you ever check out chop cult"? Nope, but I will now. Thanks. You can take a look at the shop page here- maybe....https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kult-Klassics/582894755132405?fref=photo

Hi all. My names Theo i am from around the Cleveland ohio area. I had a neighbor when i was a little kid that was always working on bikes in his garage. I went over there all the time to hang out. Family where all Harley. Over time I got addicted. Three years ago I purchased my first motorcycle a 1982 Honda nighthawk. I slowly fixed it up and did some mild mods. H4 headlight lowered super sport bars. bar end mirrors led turns. Aftermarket turn signals that i was not happy with and took all apart. Made new mounts and moved all mounts in as close as possible as i could. Friend of mine offered me his Kawasaki 454 for a great price and while looking around i found this site. I am looking at taking this Kawasaki apart and doing a mild chopper build. Really enjoying reading this site. My riding style is typically 40+miles when i get out of work or 200+ mile rides on the weekends. Not a fan of show bikes i love the look of a good clean rider.

Hey everyone. My name is Ryan, 27 years old and Ive been a lurker on chop cult for years. I love checking out all the awesome builds and getting Ideas from everyones posts. I live in Tulsa oklahoma and have the awesome job of getting to run a small motorcycle shop that does Blanket rolls and some apparel.
Been riding for the past 11 years on anything from scooters, ninjas, Boulevard, Shadow, a Yamaha cafe, CB Bobbers, Cb chopper, and currently a Harley seventy two. Usually I never own a car, just a few bikes. Had a few kids, and since my wife is so Rad about my hobbies she has pushed me to pursue doing it full time. She has a cb400 that we are chopping on currently. I love wrenching on bikes and super far out seventies choppers.

Hey people, Sunny SoCal here. Been lurking for a while, been riding for 40+ years. Getting ready to cut my first frame though, so I figured this was an appropriate place to be. Currently I have a 2003 FXDWG and a 2001 Sportster C, which is the one I'm going to bob. Bunch of materials on the way, but I probably won't get started before June. I'll post a thread for it.

Hey boys, I'm new here. My name is Dave, I'm from the Philly area. Been a motorcycle junkie since I was a little kid, been riding since '73.
I have a 70 & 72 Bonnevilles, a 77 FLH, an Anniv Road King and my wife has a Sporty.
My son is building a bobber TC Super Glide and that got me thinking.......next thing ya know, I happened into a basket Ironhead last week and thought it would make a dandy little rigid. In sniffing around online, found my way here.

Hello everyone. My name's Ian, I'm from NH, and this is my fourth year riding. I'm riding a 76 T140 Bonneville that started with my late uncle, then became my mom's, and now she's mine all mine. I've been reading this site for about a year now and finally figure I'm at the point I may need to ask questions. My bike was mildly chopped by my uncle, and mildly customized by me to get it back on the road semi legal. I love the look of a hardtail, but not on an OIF Triumph, so I'm pinching pennies till I can get a Shovel, then the real fun will start. Anyways, thanks to everyone active on the site for all the info in the past, and I'm looking forward to contributing what I can and learning a shit ton.

Hi all! I'm in Sydney (Australia) and am looking forward to get back into completing my '72 Tiger chop. I started the build in late 2010 before a motor bike accident in 2011 destroyed my shoulder. 9 months off work and 2 operations later I was able to make some progress but living in a 3rd floor unit that had a shed with no power (at least I had a shed) as well as trying to change career meant limited time and no $ for the past few years.

I'm hoping to get back into it now that I have finally got a full time job as well as moving out of the inner city suburbs to an outer suburb close to some great riding (as far as Sydney goes).

Any way, here's the Tiger...
http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae98/canbro65/Tiger/Photo0928_zpskw2qqk6g.jpg (http://s961.photobucket.com/user/canbro65/media/Tiger/Photo0928_zpskw2qqk6g.jpg.html)

I like choppers of the 60s & 70s and am hoping to have a King/Queen seat on the tiger although local rego laws dictate I must have a sprung seat. I will aim to build a King/Queen seat that looks 'normal' but has internal springing. I will also have a sissy bar.

The motor is a '73 TR6RV running a Hunt maggy and close ratio gearbox. The front has been raked although I am yet to measure the rake. The rear wheel is 16" and the rear has a 2" drop & 6" stretch. The photo shows the loud 2 into 1 that was on it when I got it but had to change back to stock style twin pipes so I could get it through rego when I bought it.

I will raise the front of the fuel tank so the bottom of the tank follows the bottom of the top tube.

I'm undecided on the bars at the moment as I continually change my mind...

I have an aluminium 'beer barrel' oil tank for it as well to increase the oil capacity as Sydney riding can mean long stops in traffic during hot weather although my move to the outer suburbs means a lot less of that :clap for you:

My daily driver in the mean time is a '94 FXDS Convertible which is basically stock except for a Mikiuni & mufflers. I have an FLH guard that I have modified and an FXDL tank that I have raised at the front that I have yet to paint and fit. They were in primer but I left them too long and rust crept in so it will be back to scratch :banghead:

hows it going, my brothers? been lurking for a bit and like what i been seeing, so i took the plunge and joined up. im wrenching on a 04 santee hardtail, originally built for a customer so thats why theres so many things i dont like ( such as paint, wheels, bars,etc...)--it was his build, so his specs.

anyway long story short i never got paid for the build, he got spinal stenosis and cant ride anymore, and i ended up buying out his share ( parts wise ) and been playing with it ever since. its got a total of 214 miles and starts right up, plates are in storage but im workin on her to get it where i want it and then put it back on the streets.

in the last month, i have tossed the front fender into the corner of the garage, welded a 3 ft tall sissybar out of leftover scrap from when i built the trailer ( 12 fricken years ago! see, THATS why ya never toss anything out...) retrofitted a mid 80's zuki savage 650 king/queen seat onto the ass end, welded up some drop/offset pegs for the wife ( 200 tire so the LH frame has a 1.5 kickout to compensate for. ), rigged a primary guard for the open belt so it wont eat my pant leg anymore, ( also from leftover scrap metal, yay ! ) swapped the 42 mikuni for a new 45 mikuni with a K&N filter and tossed the "J.J. / WCC" iron cross air cleaner with the brillo pad filter in the rubbish, etc etc etc......

now im waiting on more parts, should be showing up any day...

Hi all from Madrid, Spain.

I'm the owner of a yellow Sporty'01
All my life I rode in different kind of bikes, but It's my first Harley... and I'm sure not the last.

We have a lot of problems to customize our motorbikes in my country, because for example it's ilegal: sidemount plate, rigid frame,... you can imagine the rest.

Pics of my bike. The next steps: seat, handlebars, grips and rear fender to get a Japannese style.

I love the "Do it your self" Culture in my bike. This is the reason I love this kind of forums.

Beers for everybody. :cheersmate:

Guess I've lurked long enough, decided to go ahead and sign up, maybe I'll even post some. Anyways, I'm in the Tulsa, OK, area, like to get out and ride when I get the chance, and I seriously love working on bikes or pretty much anything with an engine. Current ride is a Kawasaki Vaquero, but I'm working on some others right now. Last year I bought three KZ440 parts bikes to build something fun to kick around on. Then it just kinda snowballed from there and I've ended up with quite a few others, mainly KZ440s. Working on a 1982 KZ440 chop for myself, a 1979 KZ400 for my wife (this bike is near mint, but some goober pulled the clutch cover and dropped what looks like kitty litter inside the case), a 1995 GN125 (was the exact bike my wife and I learned to ride on, we sold it years ago and it came back to us late last year), and two bikes to flip: a 1981 KZ440 and a 1981 XS400. And no, I don't have a massive hard-on for the small KZs, it's just really hard to say no to any bike for less than a hundo and that's what I've been pulling out of garages, sheds, and fields for the past year. Got myself a nice collection of spare parts now though. Anyways, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it, gotta get back to work. :cheersmate:

Hello all,

My name is Travis and I hail from Tacoma, WA. I've read Chopcult off and on for a while now, just never thought to sign up. As it happens I'm making the trek to Born Free this year and figured I might as well see if there are any folks riding down from the PNW.

Anyway, love the site and keep up the good work. Oh, I ride a 2011 crossbones at the moment; it's no chopper but I've made it my own and love the thing.

Later,

Travis

What's up everyone, I've always wanted to join a cult but never found one worth a crap. Looks like this is the one. I've been riding for about 10 years and I chopped up every bike I ever owned. The last one was a 87 Savage, but I sold it and now I regret gettin rid of it. Well now I have a 83 FXWG and I am going to try to learn as much as i can about the old shovels. I like seeing the builds, and I will hopefully be doing my own build soon. Im in the Army so I don't really have a good schedule for projects, or a garage right now, so I am waiting to move so I can get a small shop to work in. Look forward to learning from some experts... and you ather guys too.

Names Mike. Live in the Detroit metro. Started riding like mebbe 10yrs ago. Current work in progress in a 98 Triumph Daytona that I got in excellent condition and promptly ripped it apart. Almost 'done for now' http://i.imgur.com/2X1XSTq.jpg

The next project will be my '76 xl250. Thinking I'll bob it as much as I can while keeping it legal. Heres what it looked like a few months ago when I was playing with it http://i.imgur.com/nBAkFPb.jpg The cx tank won't stay, I may use the stock 21" up front and had planned to internally shorten the forks "shrug" dunno yet really. I don't have easy access to a welder so I might be limited for a while.

I know my way around a bike, a toolkit and can do most basic maintenance tasks myself, just bought a 1977 Honda 550 four powered hard tailed bobber, kinda half finished. I'm not happy with it so I'll be changing some bits and bobs, so will be looking for advice, ideas inspiration and general banter that goes with it all. Hi everyone. I've bought stuff off the classifieds here for a couple of my bikes, and figured it was time to join. I live in Seattle, WA and have a number of bikes. My daily rider is an '07 Triumph America with 18" apes and some other modifications. My only rigid bike is a '77 Honda CB 750 that I built years back but don't ride very often. My favorite bike is my '83 HD FXRS Shovelhead. I also have a '79 HD XL that I'm currently wrenching on and is a lot of fun to ride. That one is probably the meanest sounding of all my bikes. I also have a '99 Santee Custom that has a blown up RevTech Evo motor in it. I plan to pull the motor next winter and put in either a Jim's or an S&S in her.

Newbie here. Been lurking for a couple of years. I'm in my early 30s and I own a small machine shop, in Alabama. I've been riding motorcycle since my adolescent years. See the pics below for my first ever build. It started as a pretty much stock Kawasaki Mean Streak, and I machined 95% of the cool stuff on it. I'm starting a new project very soon. I bought and old dual head, dual carb, shovel head engine, that has sat for decades. I plan to build this from scratch and with scavenged components. I've always liked this site so much, because it is humbling to see what some people can do with such little tools. I have seen people on this forum make immaculate works of art from just hand tools, that with my cnc equipment would still be a challenge. I love seeing ingenuity at work, makes me a little envious at the same time. BTW my name is Paul. Here is a website for my shop if your interested. www.fullercnc.com

Have been riding 50+ years, and currently existing/living in SoCal/SDG, the riding is great, the weather is fine, there is no water, but I have a neighbor three houses down with a Ultra Classic and we ride when we can, about 12000 miles in two years so far. Been to Laughlin, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Tuscon, Phoenix, Death Valley, Bishop, Reno, San Fransisco, Cambria up the 1, and Southern Oregon which is a long ride to see my daughters. I get to ride my "never" finished FXLR this weekend, which should be a hoot.

I'm Cody. Not even sure I'm doing this right. Been on two wheels my whole life. Currently on a short chop, Flyrite frame, 100" EVO. Going to pick up a shovel soon. I'll be the guy you see getting stopped by the cops in Huntington Beach once a week.

I found this forum a while back and it looked like there is some good knowledge here on ironhead Sportsters. I picked up a 1980 xls Roadster, and am now beginning the process of tearing it down to rebuild the engine, and weld a crack in the case near the front sprocket. I have had more cars/bikes in my life than I could ever try to count; but am new to ironhead rebuilds. I will have questions you guys can answer in the coming weeks im sure.

New to the forum. Been working on a 78 XLCH I bought a year ago and brought back to life after it had been in storage 20 years. I lack skills, tools, and time, but the bike is coming along nicely.

Hola, CC. Name's Timmy. Just joined, but have been reading for a couple years now. Born in St. Louis. Been in Salem, Oregon for 15 years. Got started on old cars as a teenager, but have a one track mind for choppers anymore. Currently putting together a '76 Sportster. Glad to be here. Thanks.

Well, found this website on a whim. Trying to locate a set of Stock 1991-2003 Sportster Mid Controls. Found one, cant message them LOL. Figured I'd at least stop in here and intro myself.

Been riding for a many years. Currently on a 2006 Night Train. Just picked up a 2000 XLH1200 Sportster for my wife to rid. Currently living in Maryland. Hello everyone.

Hi, the names Lee but most people call me Fridge. I'm from Bristol, England. Had a few chops over the years. Current bike is a rigid running an Ultima drivetrain which I bought as it stands (I do all my own spannering but could not afford to have built it tbh!) Got a few changes planned for winter but at the moment just want to make the most of the limited British summer!

I'm Duhstee. I've got a 2006 evo bobber. I found this forum a little while ago and since I'm planning on doing a lot of work to my bike I figured I'd join up. If anyone's in southern Mississippi for any reason, hit me up. I'm always down to ride with new people.

Hello All, My name is Sean and I have been Lurking here on and off for a number of years. I have had a few bikes during that time, but always seem to miss my old VT500 Hardtail the most. I just purchased a '79 CX500 project bike and look forward to doing a build thread to show its progress. Thanks for Having me!
