This guy in town found these a few years ago behind a business that was going out of business. No titles or paper work of anykind..... Now he's looking to get them out of the garage. First I would like to identify what they are exactly and go from there.

This one turned over and has keys. Im thinking its an 1100?

Not much on this one and I somehow forgot to take a photo of the pulled motor. Motor and carbs were smaller than the ones in the other bike.

want to let that tank go?

The bike is an XS1100. Tank looks wrong though, maybe off of a 1100 Special but you take some shitty pics, so it's hard to tell.

Other one is an XJ something. Might be called a Maxim. I think they're either 650 or 900.

Not all XJs are shaft drive, so it gets a bit confusing...

You have been given the correct info. The first bike is a 1980 XS11 Special, a well-made bike. Mine has 240,000 miles on it and still runs like a top. a good source of info can be found here...

I also have another Yammy shafty- a '76 XS 750 triple. They are all interesting machines, built to the tolerances of fine musical instruments. You will have a little trouble doing wheelies on the 1100 as the engine rotates backwards compared to most motorcycle engines.
