Anyone ever run triumph style fork covers on thier xs650? Or maybe have a pic of a bike doing so? I think they look awesome and am thinking about putting a set on my XS so long as they will work with stock shaved forks.

My bike at the moment

I get that the fork tubes are 35 mm but what about the measurment of the fork dust seals?
What size does the fork cover have to be on the bottom to slide over the seals?
Thanks
The exhaust tubing is an idea but would not taper on top ....are you confirming that 21/4 would slide over the seals?

was wonder about the tapered part as well, maybe some sort of reducer to get the the taper or just doing some pie cuts and reshaping and welding.... but yes the 2.25 will fit over the dust covers. judging by the pics of the curvey bike pics anyway....

Burns Stainless (http://www.burnsstainless.com/INDEX.aspx) has what I think would do the trick here. Try either the Transitions button on the left side of the page or the Megaphones button.
Cone (http://www.coneeng.com/conical_products.html) engineering also has a pretty good selection.
Sweet YET another project to fall behind on.
