so yeah, the Wife says gettin the bike running is productive to her causes and plans, so a decent percent of tax return goes to my basturd-junkyard-find (a matching engine/frame # search online suggests that it is... get this... an '1984 cm400t? i can only assume thats a typo). i haven't any carbs for it. i also unfortunatly know shit about carbs. if it will be worth the time & $, i wanna get better than stock parts for this bike. should i be looking for carbs from another bike?

i have only seen carbs pulled from bikes being parted out on egay. i would need a rebuild kit to rebuild a carb i know nothing about. so thats out. however, i ambled across this fellow "wiredgeorge" online (http://www.wgcarbs.com). he seems legit and the site is easy enough to find info and pricing. but i havent ever heard of him or anyone having mentioned the cat. anyone had any dealings w/ him? or suggestions who i should be looking to? maybe there is a 33'er who likes these little engines and and does carbs?

I used him and my carbs came back like new. Unfortunately his backlog is prolly 4-5 months.

those are georgeous (BWAAAHAHAHA! get it?!?)
seriousely, they are pretty and all of the werk looks consistant. and if he IS indeed the only dude selling carbs for those engines then i am not too shocked at the waiting period.
thanks fer giving me something to go off of!
anything from anyone else is appreciated too!
