mid 70's GT80 tanks are a popluar choice for these bikes. They can be had for under $50 on Ebay

"am I getting screwed"? if thats too much money for you then maybe yeah......or just buy it and make it work. other tanks can cost upward of 300+ bucks......so what do you want to pay? answer that and you wil find your tank.

$75 seems reasonable if the tank is in good condition. the ones on Ebay for $30-$40 are in pretty bad shape, and the ones in great condition are upwards of $100

this one was not worth the $75!
massive dent on the top near the cap and another on the right hand side....oh and full of rust....

i'm still looking....if anyone spots one or feels like parting with one:)

Goggle GT 80 tank. Then goto shopping. Click the first tank you see on ebay, and it will show every other one on there. I saw lots of the a few days ago.

I had to pass though, thing is way way way too small. 45 mile range on my bike.

But yeah, they are cool tanks.

You can also use an MX80, Jt1, Jt2 mini enduro tanks
Also any of the DT and CT 125, 175, 250 tanks from the early 70's probably have a wide enough tunnel for the SR OIF top tube.

I'm liking the JT1 shape it's a bit different from the gt80
