It's pretty much done. Just at the shop getting the carbs tweeked in. Going with no paint. I'm loving the rat rod look. Might end up with a set of springers up front before it's all done not sure yet

It looks ready to assult the streets, minus those lil shorty pipes. Don't you think you'll need some more back pressure ?

Looks great! Lowdown, mean and dirty, exactly the way a motorsickle should be. How do those tires ride on the street?

Back pressure is fine. I have washer baffles installed

As for the tires I not sure yet. I haven't had it on the road yet. Hope they ride fine.
We thru a front tire like that on my buddies sportster and it rode smooth but handling was different.

All my electric is in this Ketel One vodka bottle chiller. Switches are kill, headlight and starter. The tail light is a Ketel One martini shaker with a Harley lens. Both stainless

Dude! Nice! My other ride is a 76 CB550f mildly cafe'd and I love it. A bit of a bugger to synch n tune those carbs, but once they're dialed in... Great rides.

Killer job bro...

Thanks for all the nice words everyone. It was my first build. I did buy some stuff so it's not all custom, but all the labor is mine. The look is exactly what I had in mind. Bouncing ideas off a friend also to get different and sometimes better ideas made this thing what it is. Can't wait to ride it.

Thanks for the info.

Did you have to do anything to the backbone area of the frame to get that tank to fit?

How's the bike run with those velocity stacks? I'm working on a 550 myself and would love to run some on my bike. Are yours the "bell" ones?

Comb2
03-16-2011, 7:15 PM
Ther is a little ridge on the backbone of the frame the sticks up that was grinded off then bungs welded in to mount the tank.

I'm not sure of the stack shape. I contacted them and told them I needed them as short as possible and he said these. It runs fine so far but I've only been able to put about 15 miles on it. I had a shop sync and tune the carbs with the stacks on. Running them without the screens

Did you just disconnect the kill switch or did you relocate it

Comb2
03-20-2011, 7:59 PM
The kill switch is relocated Not the safest place for it but we don't always do the safest things do we. Like ride bikes they cars on the road

From left to right. Kill switch, lights, starter
