I have a customer ordering lowering kits from an XS650 for his SR500. From everything I can see, they are identical forks. Anybody got some good closeups of the SR500 forks?? Had one apart?

yes, they are the same. atleast mine were to the xs forks i compared them to.

i lowered and gold valved my sr forks. i cut spacers from some 1'' handle bars, and cut the springs to match. i followed these instructions. super easy and free.

you can adjust the spacer length and spring cut to your lowering needs. i went a bit lower than the instructions, and it turned out great. i lowered this xt with those instructions.
