im sure somebody may have already asked this question or maybe its just a stupid damn question to ask but will a bolt on triumph hartail fit my xs 650 somewhat correctly???:banghead:

if you are a fabricator you could make it fit, but if not, you should just use one of the many kits available.

are there any bolt on kits for an xs?

All the kits you will find are going to be weld on.... due to the way the 650 frame is its the only way to do it

you could almost use the center stand mounts. ( needs beefed up) But there would be some welding required since there are no mounting point available on the backbone. You'de have to drill a through hole and then slide a sleeve through it and weld around it. I'm thinking of doing the same to mine. Just to fuk with poeple. Still going to build the rear myself. Most bolt on rears you'll find are 1" OD tubing.

Actually, most rear sections should be 1 1/8" OD if they are going to match the stock frame rails...

excactly, I' ve used 1 1/8" .120 DOM. Just saying the ebay Triumph bolt ons I've seen have been 1" OD. = ewww...
