View Full Version : anyone ever use a cb750 battery eliminator?

thinking about it on my cb chop, to keep shit simple. only issue i see is making a starter block off plate. any ideas? i thought maybe doing lexan. not a bad idea for $35.

thoughts?

looks like its just a capacitor. ive never used one on a honda before but i had one on my triumph chop. they work ok..usually takes 3 kicks to get it to spark up. have you considered using a small battery pack? they use them on dualsport bikes and there only like 3" by 4" and
1/2" thick but you get the bennies of a battery except the electric start.

Those are for a permanent magnet system. The cb750 uses an electromagnet. You need a battery to get the field coil energized so it will start charging.
