just wanted to post a couple pics of a little project i picked up on saturday, basically bought it to flip it. it is a 1985 honda rebel 250cc. it was fabricated by slim for a fellow board member here. the guy has a few other projects he would like to finish first so he passed it on to me for a very reasonable price. i will basically be painting the frame and fender, changing the seat, replacing the hand controls and cutting down the wiring harness a little more. let me tell you, these little bikes are funner than shit to ride or fucking a fat chick all greased up!!! btw, slim did a really nice job on the hardtail ect. very nice details. props to slim fabrications.

i usually just bolt a nice piece of leather down with machine screws and wingnuts. i don't like the seat pan it has on it but i don't want to buy the one i normally use since it ain't for me.......

Looks pretty nice man! I want to hard tail my rebel so bad. I see no front brake? I like the look of the older bikes with no fronts. Is that rim larger than the stock 16? If, so is that why you're running no front brake. Are you using the hand brake to work the rear? Looks like you completely did away with the horn and blinkers too? I really like the old school look

the rear wheel is a stock 15" and the front is a 19" spoolie off a triumph? the rear brake/ lever/ linkage are all in the stock location. rebel 250's are the bees kneesman. just enough power to propel you around town and keep it interesting. i would definately make another.

That thing is slick you should have no trouble flipping it especially with Slim's name attached. how much stretch in the tail? it makes it look alot bigger than a 250

i don't know the specs on the bike cause i didn't fab it. slim fabbed it and like i said from the beggining, he did a very nice job! i sold the bike a few weeks after posting this topic. i probably had the bike in my posession a total of 2 1/2 weeks?

Where did you get the rigid fram for the Rebel? I have been looking into making a bobber out of my Rebel but for the life of me I cannot find a rigid frame.

Pretty sure he is saying the stock frame was modified into a hardtail, see the first post.

it was fabricated by slim for a fellow board member here.

I know you got it just to flip it, but why not yank those reflectors of the fork lowers and shave it clean? It doesn't take that long(as you know I'm sure), and really tidies up that front.

What riser are those? Those bad boys are beefy! Sweet little scoot you got there.

Is there anyway you can help me out and tell me what he did to the original frame to make it look this way...i just got an 85 honda rebel 250 and my bro is going to rebuild and send it out for fabrication but he wants to go a different route with the frame...but i am insisting on it looking like this...i am new to this bike chopping thing and dont really know the right questions to ask you
