so i think i have the wiring diagram down for the cb, and i want to run all new stuff on the chop (like cloth wires) but heres the odd questions:

would it be simpler to rip out all the wiring and start fresh or should i try to save the whole mess and figure it out?

ive rewired 2 bikes in my life. both simple. one, a puch i just ripped everything out and started new. the other (my first) was a gz250 and i took out a little at a time until everything was either replaced or streamlined.

im thinking just yank the whole damn system, replace what i need (the bike runs, but id like to swap to a dyna system, whatever that consists of)

its going to be all basic, headlight(s) and tail, brake light, ignition. no kill, just the key.

what would yall do?

I always start fresh and go with whole new wiring. Clean and you'll know exactly what and where.

Start all over and do this:

if you want to convert to a signal piece reg/rec then here is the modification to wiring

I printed and laminated these to hang in the shop so whenever I have a brain fart I can reference them! :clap for you:

new to wiring and working on my cb350. What is the advantage of a reg./rec.?
What kind of reg/rec would work on a 350?
Thanks again for the links.

You can use the reg/rec off a 79' or later Honda dohc.

You advantage is you have a superior item that is condensed into one weather proof unit that does not require a box to protect or the space needed to install. It also simplifies the wiring and the look of your bike.

Never did it on a 350 but I cannot see why it won't work.

Just rewired a '76 cb400 this weekend and the bike had a separate reg/ rect. Being that it is still fresh in my mind, all the wires match the cb750 diagram so it is possible. To know for sure email this dude that builds these. Click HERE (http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/) for website
