Was wondering, I want to change my Bonneville 2 carb head to a 1 carb. Was wondering if there is a manifold I can get to save trying to find another head. I have seen some 2 to 1's,,but think they are pre- unit. Plan to use a Amal 389 carb.

Thanks

Yeah,If you got a head that excepts a bolt on manifold if your head has the screw in tappets I'm not sure but I've never seen a two into one for that kind of head. I got a two into one manifold for a Triumph. If you need it PM me we can work something out I also got an Amal 930 it needs rebuilt but it's all there.

NP, Bro. Check Egay you can usually pick up good heads for Triumphs cheap.

That 3663 casting number is the screw in spigot Bonneville head and there should also have a date stamp in a circle.
If you want a single carb you will need to swap the head for a TR6 head but many people will do that.

There is a 68 in a circle,,what would be the #'s for the proper head ( single )

A 68 in the circle would make that head a 1969 Bonneville head, they were cast in the year before model. I'm not sure the casting number of the TR6 head but it would be shown in the parts book as the parts number.
