Thought I might put up a post on another of my bikes as well...

Just gonna be a quick gothrough of what I have done so far, and the updates when I get along the road...

Bought it in this shape but with a sidecar for allmost 700$

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1235/dsc01469wd.jpg

Took it home and dragged it behind a car until it started and then started pulling shit apart.. I have tottaly restored the engine and gearbox, sandblasted cylinders and painted, cleaned everything up real good and put it together...

http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/5589/jrgengs0083.jpg

Started with the frame, blasted it and thought I would just work from this

http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/971/foto0280.jpg

Changed my mind and it turned out like this

http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/8862/img1460l.jpg

Started working until I came to this and noticed it looked like shit...

http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/1406/foto0622.jpg

Reworked it cand came out with this

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/9702/jrgengs0265.jpg

Tried a mockup with engine and tank, not entirely finished with the welds though..

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/5680/jrgengs0303.jpg

Only put one wheel back together and havent trued it yet.. Also waiting to get back to work so I can paint the other one and put it together so I can mock it up with wheels and find out what rake I need.

http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6364/img1824v.jpg

I have a bunch of stuf I have sandblasted and painted that will go on the bike, and also a few goodies like inverted levers, tankshifter and stuf.. Will give you a few teaser pics cause Im to darn lazy to post up everything..

http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1262/img1825b.jpg

http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/5800/img18260.jpg

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3668/jrgengs0341.jpg

Also keep in mind that it might be a bit slow progress on this one cause these two bastards are also in the garage...

http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/8648/img18360.jpg

Anyways, will update when I have got the time to do anything.. Bye

Sorry for the long time gone, dont check this forum alot!

Have made some progress in the build, went to the garage with some wheels and the tank and mocked it up:

Wasnt exactly level with the floor so I decided to rake it a bit!

This is coming out great!
Personal Opinion, get rid of the tank for a smaller one...some vintage Yamaha tanks seem to have the same shape but 15gal smaller -lol

A little more progress, made a headlight mount and found out that the huge tank is too huge.. Tried a small one I had at home. Also fixed the top motor mount

I love this bike, can't wait to see it completed. The seat is friggin awesome. I think the tank is the right style, just maybe too small IMshittyO. I really like the paint on it though.

Thanks for all the kind replies!
Yeah about that tank.. I just love the So-Cal inspired paintjob and all the patina but I feel too that I need a tank thats a bit bigger, and the other tank is so sweet shape and cool with the ignitionswitch and all that but too big! Seat is pretty cool, but its actually not leather but rubber though my plans are to dress it up with some old used leather..

Well see after this weekend what kinda funny stuff I bring home, so stay tuned!

i wish i see custom bike like when i was living in Russia. My wife, she is worst judge of motorcycle in all of Petropavlovsk! Day after day it is same thing: “Mikhail, why can’t you ride gsx1300R of Suzuki with long swingarm and 330 tire instead of Ural” I say to her: "Svetlana, man cannot ride bike such as this! is no good on street!” when we are first married she is very attractive woman, built like American actress Rosie O'Donnell, years later she is all bones and skin from too much borsk. It is unpleasant to have relations. My brother, Nikolai, he is very wise, he says motorcycle, like woman must be tough, like boar. Perhaps if she saw Ural like this she would forget about hip-hop bike and cook me an American style "creamy tuna casserole" instead of borsk. then maybe i not leave her in russia with children and come to America, and she would not be killed by bear! Hahaha! Alas, is not possible to go backwards in time to show bike. Thank you Gyllenberg, one day your bike it will be pride of Sweden, but you are too late to save my wife from bear.

Thanks guys!

That small tank is from a Rex Telespeed, a 50cc moped I think..

The superskinny bike is some kind of Swedishmade lightweight bike built under the license of BSA, not sure though! Made a thread about it over att the JockeyJournal: http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71697

Theres also some riding vids in there somewhere

Greaser Mike: Thanks for the compliments, and I wish you all luck in the world with the bike, wife, kids, bears and Borsk! One of my biggest dreams is to go to America but Ive heard somewhere that you cant go to America when you are convicted for any crimes? Atleast not in a 5 year period.. Even if thats not the case I couldnt afford it..

Some pics of the small one for you who are too lazy to follow the link;)
