Are you gonna fuckin' FINISH that thing or what?!

I chickened out...decided to build something on the side for now, just in case my pussy ass needs a swingarm bike with a thumb-kicker.

HEY, don't think I saw the seat pan...I love it!

I've got a BSA chopper I'm working on slowly (wait until your 10 week old is asking for a ride everywhere, then times that by two, slows down progress a little..; ):

Started with this:

Here's where I'm at now:

and like most of you guys know my garage is not optimal...

So this is how my "room in the garage" looks right now.. still waiting for the door....

its 3.3m x 3.3m inside.. small but easy to keap warm!

knallert
02-20-2011, 11:42 AM
so the room in the garage has a door now!!

from -5 C to +15 C in 1 hour with a 2000 W garage heater, awesome!

so here is a micro update for those who cares ;)

cut out the old tunnel....

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3284

this will lower the tank ca 50mm (2") front and ca 10mm (0,5") rear...
i think it "hides" the square tube a little more and the lines feel nicer to.

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3283

also got a used front harley fender that im planing to wide a little.. i like that you can se the sides on the rear wheel more now then when i had the sporster fender... well well opinions opinions...

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3286

dont mind the beer jug..

cheers

Thanks Fatass... :)

this is version 1.0 of my home made clutch cable bracket...

started with a 20 mm aluminium plate and made my first cuts. (OEM to the right)

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3384

its a PITA tu cut with the wrong grinder disc. I only have 1 mm for stainless steel...
but with a lot of grinding I came through!

Drilled the holes...

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3385

and for mounting the cable...

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3386

ALOT of filing to get the right angle...

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=109&pictureid=3387

Rad build, I gotta say I really liked the triumph tank on it.

This a killer bike, love it. But I do agree about the stock tank.

StinkyMonkey
10-04-2012, 7:28 PM
I half agree, stock Triumph tank, just not the Hinckley fattie. An OIF Bonnie tank would sit on that backbone nicely, & being longer looking might help balance out the stretch in the rear of the frame.

Great build. I have been working in a cold garage too so I can sympathize with you. My build is much slower because every time I try to fire up a heater I set off a breaker. But, back to your build, I love what you did with the clutch bracket. It takes balls to cut up parts off of a fairly new bike.
