Need some help setting up a throttle assemby for an S.U. carb on a 69 flathead 45. Have a manifold and the carb, just need help setting up yje throttle and adjustments.

I'm not familiar with the SU throttle cable set up. But, if you are having trouble putting a "pull" cable on it, since the 45 came with a solid "push" cable, you might try something like what I did on my 45 with a Linkert. I used a regular throttle on the bars, then made this little contraption to make it pull the Linkert. I bought a cheapo set up on Ebay, but hated looking at it and really couldn't figure out how it was supposed to work, so I made this pulley thingy. It worked. I greased the cable where it slid in the groove of the aluminum piece which I made out of an old BMX bar end, just carved a groove in it on a lathe. Hope that helps.

Billdozer, thanks for the tip. Actually, your "contraption" looks pretty cool. I'll give it a go when I get the motor back into the frame.
