So I got this part looks like a little nail the brits call it a timing needle. Parts list shows it but not where it goes workshop manual speaks of it but not where it goes. Can someone tell me where this nail I mean timing needle goes?

In your timing window or that cover that says the logo... I'm trying to remember if they had print or were plain? It is where the stator is off the crank. When you remove that cover, there is a hole in the clutch cover case and the little logo cover keeps that nail in place. That part is your timing needle. You'll want to secure it with drop of lock-tite, see if that holds. Either way, the cover will keep it place. Just remember when you time the bike to see that nail is still there for next time. :cheersmate:

If there is a second hole for that nail, it may be used for racing so the timing would move in the other position. But do not worry yet. We can pick the hole when you catch where the points break and can tell that way too.
