Hi. Anyone know what jet sizes to use on a W650 Kawasaki with K&N pancake filters?

This is not a lawnmower... you cant just put pods on a 650 and only change the main jets. The shit will ride like a fucking turd in mud.

Before I go any further, I will tell you some facts:
-You will gain zero horsepower with this mod.
-You might loose HP
-You will loose 10-15 mpg
-You will need to spend another 80$ for the correct parts.
-YOU WONT GAIN POWER (at all, don’t think you will)

Ok now that thats over go buy a dynojet kit and when you get one ill give you the proper set up that took me days on a dyno to get.

Fact: The stock needles in the W650 are two different lengths.
Do you still have the stock pipes?

Wasn't thinking of just the main jets. Spent years racing 2 strokes that needed jet and needle changes depending on where the track was. I was just checking to see if anyone else had already done it. The purpose isn't to get more HP, just to clear out all that junk in the centre of the frame and make the bike look lighter. Its running the stock headers with Triumph race mufflers at the moment but that will probably change to a more open 2 into 1. Thanks for the advice and I will probably go with the dynojet kit.

i don't have anything to add but it's a shame kawasaki stopped making these...

Without the dyno jet kit you donít have two symmetrical needles. And I tuned mine with this kit so if you use my setup you should be spot on if not very close. I am sea level so take that into account.

148 main
4.5 needle clip position
40 pilot jet
mixture screw 3 turns out

I have run this with 2-1 and 2-2 high pipes with competition style baffle.

That's great. Thanks. I'm down at sea level as well so conditions should be the same. Did you make the pipes? .

I'm researching this for my modded W as well...

A google search turned up references to some using a "Stage 3" kit for W's with aftermarket pipes and individual air filters.

I see the Stage 1 kits offered on the dynojet website, but not a Stage 2 or 3.

Does a Stage 3 kit exist? If so, where can I get one?

No longer exists I couldnít find it so I had to go with stage one and make it work.

All I bought the kit was for the needles anyways maybe the taper is different on stage 3 but good luck finding one.
